Part 2 // Glorious weekend of back to basics, resting, surrounded by irregular lines, meandering shadows, grounding layers of earth and replenishment. I have been coming to this campsite outside of Berlin for the past 3 years with my daughter, and a ritual I have is to early morning sit on the jetty and journal, meditate, as well as us both together painting sticks, and floating in the lake. I love this muddy, hand-crafted and splashy end of a challenging school year re-connection. Feeling into the shapes, patterns around me, tune into the trees swaying, the bird song in abundance to calm my nervous system. Time out to just sit and breathe, soaking in the space around me, following my curiosity and letting things flow onto the page, intuitively selecting colours, letting the brush or pen lead the way. Or feeling into moving, stretching myself around changing view points and getting back out of my head into my heart. Spaces I occupy have always either felt constricting or expanding, being away from regular daily mechanics, sharp angles re-energises me, helps me shift perspectives to what’s important. Berliners, are you journaling over the summer on your travels? Want to learn some easy, re-energising ways to re-set, release and rebalance through art journaling? In ways that can be at home with a candle, comfy spot, or on the go out and about? Couple of spots left for Saturday on my half day retreat in my bright airy Berlin studio - see profile or DM and let’s start that conversation ❤️🌞 (at Warnitz, Brandenburg, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQyGyjqs2C-/?utm_medium=tumblr
