Where are all the body positive white feminists at? This post has like no notes. I wonder why….
Because there is nothing we can say in the face of this woman’s courage and accomplishment. She ought to be allowed to say it and take pride in it on her own, without us taking up her light.
I laughed way too much
“A lot of people just look and see skin color. I’ve actually had people ask me was I Black or was I White first. A White gentleman came up to me and said ‘I thought you might be White, but then I saw your lips.’ One girl said to me ‘I’ve been wanting to ask you this question, but I didn’t feel comfortable asking you because I thought that you might be offended, but are you Black or are you White?’ And I was just like, ‘Well, I’m always Black.’ When we were done with the meat of the conversation, she laughed and said something about my hair and my butt gave it away. People definitely let you know that they view being Black as being very literal – the amount of pigment you have. ‘Your skin is White, therefore you’re White. Or are you?’

MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE
"SWAK!" from Noatak
"Dammit, I said I was sorry already! Cut it out!" Bolin snapped, his face red as he struggled to break the belt that bound his wrists together. "What do you want me to do, huh? Go suck his dick in apology?"

"It’s really tough having a long distance relationship."

Look at this. No really, look at this!
Metalbending, a sub-school of Earthbending, is based solely on stance, and one’s connection with the ground. By opposite virtue, Airbending is all about spiraling and dodging blows as opposed to blocking them.
Kuvira, this bad-ass bitch has (whether knowingly or not) created a hybrid of the two schools, using Metalbending and Earthbending in combination with Ba Gua to take down an entire rove of bandits without gaining so much as a scratch. I would not be surprised if she, like Zaheer, has studied multiple schools of combat, and has integrated them all. If Kuvira were the Avatar, she would no doubt have mastered all of these abilities.
Being able to understand the bases, forms, and techniques of all the schools of bending is usually a task set forth to the Avatar, and other masters of the martial arts. If Kuvira truly knows all about these different schools of bending, their strengths, weaknesses, and techniques, she could quite possibly be the most dangerous foe Korra has ever faced.
