Halloween Safety For Pets!
As Halloween approaches, it is important to think of your pet's (or pets') safety. Keep them safe by keeping them indoors in the days before, during, and after Halloween. I recommend keeping them indoors unless supervised (harness walks, etc.) or in a catio at all times, but it's especially important around certain holidays, and Halloween is one of them.
Keep them in a quiet room, away from candy, wrappers (many cats like to chew plastic, and small wrappers are a choking hazard), open flames like candles and jack o'lanterns, and to prevent them from bolting when you answer the door. Make sure they are microchipped AND have a collar with up-to-date tags (people can’t see a microchip, and may think your cat is feral/stray if they don’t see tags. Orange collars are best for indoor only cats, but the microchip is just as important since collars can come off. Use both). And share this post!
Have a safe and happy Halloween! 🎃🐱👻
