I couldn’t get past the first few chapters before I broke out the bread flour and finally tried making my first Tangzhong loaf.

📍Chơi Ơi, Fountain Valley, CA I was just telling my coworker that dim sum (點心) literally means “to touch the heart” and couldn’t help but think it’s a fitting description A Phở Love Story when I finished reading it. It’s obviously a book about food and love, but it’s also a story about family and community that’s filled with fun and full of heart 🍜💜📚

They were at a peculiar impasse. Neither had mentioned the kiss, as if waiting for the other to be the brave one. The soldier and the Viper. Both could cut and man down without blinking but couldn’t talk about a kiss.
