No, you see, what makes Michael turning into Michaela in the show so bad is just that many of the straight women of the fandom are upset they lost a guy they could thirst over and another woman (Francesca) they could project on. It is terrible they lost their heterosexual pairing. It's not like the three seasons that are out, the one that's coming and the spin-off all have m/f main pairings. It's terrible
