Devil May Cry 5/ Devil May Cry 1 novel
Papa Sparda enacting Mama Eva's will and protecting Dante through Rebellion.🥹❤️
Rebellion helped Dante forget the trauma and his name so he could live protected and away from Mundus's minions looking for him. And it worked. They saved Dante. They made sure Dante had ten years of relative peace before he was hunted.
SPEAK ON IT RICHEH
fast, affordable and reliable!!
drawn in like 15 minutes with my fingers is it obvious
more Yato doodles-- I was very inspired by how Adachitoka draws detailed folds, and wanted to play with rendering clothes in these pieces!
also I think Yato looks good in anything BUT his usual way of wearing his sweater lol
In Devil May Cry 1, once Dante begins fighting Mundus, two dragons can be summoned, one airborne for Dante, one from the lava for Mundus. According to Kamiya, the former is named "Puff".
And the latter is named "Dendera". He's Mundus's.
And much like the Sparda devil trigger, they're exclusive to DMC1.
Most likely Puff was Sparda's pet dragon companion. Isn't that sweet? Sparda had pet dragon. Or maybe familiar. And he turned up to aid his son against Mundus.🥰
Which makes Denedra Puff's rival. Mundus also had a pet dragon. Maybe he and Sparda found them together.
This only means Gilver was one of Mundus's knights. Which means, Vergil also had to face an assassin who looked just like him/Dante/Sparda. With Mundus's wicked and cruel sense of humor, maybe that knight's name was an anagram of Dante.
When Vergil saw the knight, who and what did he think of first? Himself? Dante? His father? The text seemingly leaves that open.
I like that Trish and Eva are made to not look 100% the same in dmc5. Trish has straighter hair, fuller lips and more smooth skin, generally looks more youthful. While Eva is more mature and looks older.
I think it makes sense as Mundus created her without meeting the real Eva. At best, Mundus saw her from the eyes of his minions. And his copy is slightly imperfect.
Vergil just went around and introduced himself as Vergil, Son of Sparda.😭
So Mundus found him first, before Tony/Dante. Vergil had been dealing with Mundus's assassin very early on. And still carried himself as a Son of Sparda.🥰
But this also means Mundus's network of spies and informants in human world stretches a lot. He manages to find both brothers eventually and within less than ten years. I'm assuming he had spies similar to Cid.
Still thinking about how Vergil canonically went around and introduced himself as a Son of Sparda to everyone in spite of all the dangers sent his way. That man was a Daddy's Boy through and through.
Did he get funny looks from humans about it? Worth it.
Now if Sparda (from heaven or wherever people go after death) could see what Vergil was doing and had done, he wouldn't be mad at all. Disappointed, yeah. Heartbroken, yeah.
Sparda extended his grace and mercy to his own kind when he refused to destroy the gates between two worlds. It's impossible and out of character that he wouldn't have that same kindness toward his own child. Besides, as someone formerly evil himself, Sparda would value rehabilitation and second chances. It's after all how he woke up to justice himself.
If Rebellion and Force Edge and their dynamic with Dante are any indication, Yamato allows Sparda to feel Vergil as much. So he feels that pain and knows his sons' pains.
