Wally ran through the streets, stopping ever so slightly to help people from minor accidents and anything else he could see. He didnāt slow down enough for them to really see him, but he wanted to help as always. While he was getting a lot of static from his end, he could piece something out about a location and some guy moving Ā things with his mind.
He grit his teeth and barreled ahead, hoping that he was going in the right direction. He felt something in the air, he wasnāt sure entirely but something felt off. Maybe whoever was moving things with his mind was screwing with gravity. It didnāt sit well with him, so he pushed it wanting to find Jesse and see if he could lend a hand.
He skidded to a stop as he saw this giant guy in jeans and a really bad looking jacket waving his hands into the air. He squinted and he saw Jesse rising higher and higher, he knew that he had to stop this guy soon. At least enough to get Jesse down safely.
āYO Ugly!ā he shouted, barreling straight head to punch the guy at full force. He didnāt want to kill him, but he needed to get his focus off of Jesse.
He sent a flurry of punches his way and as he looked rather dazed he ran up the nearest building hoping that heād be able to run up and with any luck lean up to catch her should she fall. He paced himself as best he could hoping that his speed would be enough. Leaping into the air he stretched his arms out and grabbed her, realizing that he didnāt have much of a plan after this point
Every second brought Jesse higher. She started to pass windows and the tops of lamp posts, found the distant view of Central City staring at her in a twinkle of lights, and there was no sign of it stopping. In a few more minutes, sheād be approaching the clouds. On the headset, her father continued to re-assure her she was okay, that he was working on something, but Jesse knew there was absolutely no way he could get out here in time. That didnāt mean she was giving up, though.Ā
Suddenly, Jesse was falling. Her limbs flailed, searching for something to grab, and were rewarded with broad shoulders and a familiar face.Ā āWally!ā How in the world was he here? Sheād kiss him if they werenāt twenty something feet in the air and there wasnāt a metahuman on the ground.Ā
From here, they were literally flying by the seat of their pants. Jesse had no momentum from the position and had to rely on Wally. Thankfully, by the time he caught her she had already fallen quite a few feet and it wasnāt far to the ground. Back on her feet, she gave Wally a grateful look before rushing over the meta and finishing what Wally started with a well placed punch to a pressure point. Not dead, but he certainly wouldnāt be waking up for a few hours at least.
Despite being slightly out of breath, Jesse turned to Wally with a bright smile.Ā āI canāt believe it! What are you doing here?ā Instead of giving him a chance to respond, she rushed back over to wrap her arms around him and, despite the sound of her fatherās voice through the ear piece, gave him a kiss.Ā
