whoa look at me i’m a Youtuber? (no jk i just wanted to share this song i wrote please enjoy it)
Paramore - After Laughter
{x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x}
sorry but there’s no straight way to interpret sugar we’re goin’ down. like idek what it’s about really but a song that references the closet and “sleeping for the wrong team” and “the friction in his jeans” (the lyric booklet says ‘his’, but it’s always sung as ‘your,’ which is Shady to say the least) is not gonna have a Hetero explanation
“If you crap– if you clap– ‘if you crap’ [laughs]… If you crap or clap really, really loud– prefer the claps… sometimes craps, yeah but– I’m sorry, if you clap really loud, we can probably get Dave and Kayleigh out here to do a song with us.” .05.02.17.
song i didn’t care that much about before but would die for now: the patron saint of liars and fakes
written just outside of patrick’s current range so his voice grew into it
meant to foreshadow where the band would go next sound-wise
chorus was “one of those weird patrick moments where somehow patrick pleases pete”
patrick wrote the first verse and pete wrote the second and YOU CAN REALLY TELL
has the “take this to your grave / i’ll take it to mine” line
holy shit
[turning] 15 is fun, enjoy it. 25 is what you have to worry about, 25 is when you will go fucking insane.

things bandom finds convenient to forget
- gabe saporta is a latinx immigrant. he was an illegal immigrant for 3 years - gabe’s also jewish. he posts about judaism regularly - gabe also was addicted to prescription drugs for a while, but he isnt anymore - alex suarez is spanish. his full name is alexandro fransisco suarez virta marroquin marciera (say that 10 times fast) - alex gaskarth was in an abusive relationship when he was 18/19 with a 25 year old married woman. - coffeeshop soundtrack and six feet under the stars are both about alex’s relationship with her - jack barakat is lebanese. his parents and he immigrated from lebanon during the lebanese civil war - william beckett struggles with anxiety and had anorexia as a teenager - william also has a stutter - gerard way relapsed during danger days, and had an ed throughout touring danger days - gerard had/has hallucinations and thats what maya the physic is about - mikey way & pete wentz & halsey are bipolar - brendon has adhd and one of the first songs he wrote was called ‘ritalin’ - patrick stump has adult onset adhd - joe trohman has mild ocd - joe’s also jewish
-the Way family is Japanese and Spanish (so when people talk about Gerard appropriating Japanese culture with Danger Days, remember that he is Japanese) -Ray Toro is Puerto Rican and Portuguese -Josh Dun is Japanese -Tyler Joseph is Lebanese (seriously guys quit saying they’re white) -Josh Dun has anxiety and is open to talking about it -Spencer Smith is a recovering prescription drug addict -so is Mikey Way -Brendon Urie does not label his sexuality, but has admitted in interviews that he is attracted to multiple genders -Patrick Stump wrestled with alcoholism and depression during the Soul Punk era -He also has mild synesthesia
-Travie McCoy is mixed afro-Haitian, native American, and Irish
-Travie McCoy was addicted to Opiates
-Pete Wentz is biracial; afro-Jamaican and German/Irish
-Pete Wentz was addicted to prescription pills
-Halsey is biracial; African-American and Italian/Hungarian/Irish
-Halsey is bisexual
Can I just say patrick has actually said before he didn’t actually struggle with alcoholism, the worst he had was a month of drinking after a break up in 2006 but he’s said multiple times he’s never had alcoholism. Close, but not exactly (and if he did say that exactly someone show me bc I’ve only see him say he didn’t). Also, where’s the evidence that Pete is addicted to prescription drugs? Because I’ve never heard that before either
pete has said in interviews regarding the hiatus that he had problems with prescription drugs, saying that he was on opioids i believe and saying “i was in such a haze of pills and selfishness it’s hard to believe i felt anything” regarding the hiatus/fad era
frank iero is an addict
frank iero deals with depression and potentially other mental illnesses
to celebrate a new era, here’s a throwback to an older one

“And it doesn’t really get thrown around that much, and that’s cool because I feel like these bands have something to say and they’re not being discounted and I think that’s awesome!”
I love danger days because it was basically a fuckbucket of gay shit and colours and glitter masking a dark ass story with dark ass lyrics
