“Good,” she said absently, still trying to remember her name, running over everything she’d been told since waking up. Trying to. Her parents. Eden. Steven. Were they close? Was Eleanor close to anyone anymore? She didn’t know whether she should start over or wait. Wait and wait and wait until she was normal again, until she was herself, whoever that was and—-
Kylie. The moment it came to her it seemed so obvious. There wasn’t much else but that she knew, that she could grasp onto. Eleanor wanted to say it then, confident however briefly. “How are you, Kylie? Besides having to deal with Baberton’s entitled cyclists.”
Kylie smiled lightly and shrugged. “I’m alright.” Things were very normal, very boring, for her. Her life had never amounted to too much since the fall but she kept up with the hobbies. She wondered if Eleanor had been told about her fall or about... Eden’s attempt on her life. She wasn’t going to bring any of it up but she wondered.
“A little tired.” She shrugged, moving to sit down as she hoped she wouldn’t mind the company. “But I’m good. You?” She ventured, smiling at her, trying not to make a big deal of the question. Could Eleanor be alright and what would her alright even look like?
