“Your sister?” Maybe he’d really been that drunk that night, but Rahi doesn’t remember any talk of family — or injured family, for that matter. But before he can process the previous information Ophelia’s already onto the next, to which the only appropriate response seems to be that of a double-take. “Wow. Um. I’m not good at this, but I think you’re legally required to show me your hand or else it didn’t happen.”
Rahi nods and does take the seat, looking around the place as if it would clue him in on what to say. Of course, it doesn’t. “I—” He shrugs, then smiles wider. How do you explain to near-complete stranger that you smile the brightest when things are at their worst? You don’t. You can’t. “Nothing much, really. It’s all sort of the same.” Rahi scouters his brain for anything to add here, but fails. For someone who everyone believes to be so positive, he really needed to work on being happier. With no real response, he just compares it to Ophelia’s own: “Family’s fine, and no prince charming with big surprises on this end yet.”

“Yea she...” Well it wasn’t like she could confess all of her secrets, not that the other male would believe her if she randomly confessed to him that her sister had been shot in the chest, only to then weeks later be kidnapped and tortured to the point she had been locked up in the hotel basement - it sounded crazy even to her. “Some stuff happened but we got her back home and on the mend, I’ve got plenty of siblings so something is always happening to one of them.” She shrugged off the thought as if it was no big deal, because so much had happened over the past few months with all of them, it really starting to become less traumatic every time something bad happened. “Right...here.” Holding out her hand Ophelia offered out a hand, showing of the sparkling ring for the male to see. “Pretty right?”.
As he sat Ophelia crossed her arms back across her front. “Sort of all the same? You’re telling me you’ve had all this time and you’ve still not been up to space yet? Damn I was out here thinking you’d have made it to moon and back by now.” The girl taunted her knew friend. “Shame about the prince charming though, we all need one of those.”
