Cybertron has become full of bots who’ve reformatted their frames to fit their gender. They bridge down to Earth to meet up with humans who’ve done the same, swap stories and things. It’s adorable.
Arcee made exactly one attempt to talk to them. What they said to him is neither here nor there, but he hasn’t been back to his Cybertron since.

Yeah, that’s about the state of the inside of my head.
Arcee’s patches of red are showing through more distinctly by the month, and his voice is inching ever closer to the one on the audio file he recovered. Or at least, Arcee thinks it is...he avoids listening to recordings of his own voice now, afraid of what might happen if he hates the sound of it.
As his comfort with his frame grows, so does his distress at the fact that any of this happened at all. Perverse as it may be, his dysphoria was a buffer, and without it, there’s nowhere to hide.
It’s like a pool of rotten blue fuel draining out, but filling up with pink.

He’s just gonna have a wander around, taking in the view at his leisure.
“You’ve got to run me through the posters. I don’t know who half of these people are.”
You think Arcee is pink? You should see the mortification of his faceplates as pedes slide on the floor trying to push the mech out of the Nerd Museum.
“Fine! It’s mine! Can we g-” And, they are just walking around the exhibit, leaving Seacrest to just skitter around behind him trying to cram stuff into his subspace when Arcee wasn’t looking.
“That’s …. Actually kinda surprising” Seacrest blinks at Arcee admitting to not knowing a bunch. Of course, the main visages of Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave and Soundwave went without explanation. You’d have to be newly forged to not know them on sight.
“That’s Devastator, Deathsaurus, Overlord, Tarn, and this one is a gag gift from Echo, but its our captain, Blacktip…. I promise he’s less toothy in person”
Some of those names ring a bell, unfortunately. Blacktip obviously doesn’t, but Arcee would rather look at his face than Overlord’s any day. “Even if he isn’t, that’s fine by me. I can handle toothy.”
Don’t think he fails to notice Seacrest skuttling around trying to hide things either. Nothing gets by Arcee, except for social norms and most jokes.
“You’re going to overstuff your subspace, and I’m not even sure that’s possible. I’m not judging. It’s cute.”
Deli Claus is back again, with more poke puffs for Doublade and Keldeo! And Arcee is not forgotten, of course–for him, there’s a nice bottle of high grade.
Arcee may be Going Through Some Shit even more than he usually is as of late, but you’d better believe Doublade got a new sharpening stone this past Christmas, and Keldeo got a salt lick that’s also big enough to kick into pieces.
And of course, a bowl of fruit set out for Deli Claus.
Arcee knows his newfound coping method of drinking with Wheeljack and picking fights with strangers is a step back when even Doublade can’t find a way to kiss his aft about it.

Shoulder wedged against lower back and pedes scrabbling for traction trying to push Arcee out of his quarters, his nerdary on display!, and he did not understand how Arcee could just brick himself like this … Was Seacrest just weak?
“N-Nope! This is Caspian’s room! Which is why we gotta leave as very rude to just appear in peoples quarters uninvited”

Spyder was busy working out of his lab for once. Mostly because he needed the space. His newest design had turned out bigger than he initially intended and Redstrike had forbidden him from building it in the cargo bay ssssoooo.... Outside. It was fine really, they're little landing spot was pretty secluded. It'd be fine. Mostly. Even if he DID have to keep running into the ship to get tools he'd forgotten.
Or he had until he'd dumped every tool he had on the ground near his work space. But at least now he could work on his new kinetic energy energon generator in peace. Well, relative peace. He had his music blasting pretty loud. But that was his usual MO so he wasn't gonna dwell on it. And he was making some pretty good time on it, all things considered. Right up until he dropped down from the top to grab a new tool and looked up to see ...a pink femme.
He jumped back with a yelp, tossing his tool up and barely managing to catch it with one of his legs before he went still, flushed with embarrassment and surprise as he raised a hand nervously in greeting. "Uh...hi?"
It’s hard to say who was more surprised between them. Arcee jumps back, almost reaching for his sword hilts, stopping just in time. Primus, it’s been a while since this has happened...he almost thought his days of blinking and suddenly finding himself in front of a strange bot were over.
“Hi,” he says, awkward and already uneasy for no other reason than this stranger reminds him of Tarantulas. “Er...would you by any chance happen to know where I am?”

Megatron goes still, as Arcee approaches; red optics watch the other narrowly and his stance shifts just slightly as if instinct tries to bring his cannon to bear-- a cannon he no longer owns.
And if it did come to a fight, Megatron is back on Fool's Energon after that slight respite. He would lose the fight.
Especially against Arcee.
His fists clench, then relax-- resignation overtaking his initial defensiveness. " .... Did Prowl send you?"
Arcee’s frame may be in a transitional state these days -- pink turning to orange around the edges of his plates, voice rough -- but his strength is as undiminished ever, as are his memories of Megatron. He doesn’t reach for his own weapons, but he knows where they are, and he’s prepared to change that at a moment’s notice.
Ultimately, however, it’s the mention of the name that sends his field bristling.
“I don’t work for Prowl. I never did.”
Megatron doesn't flinch or cower at the rasp of Arcee's field against his own; he gazes back, steady and impassive, for all that his field reflects back a clear desire not to fight.
"I see." He rumbles, carefully neutral. "... How can I help you, then?" One hand-- his non cannon arm, even before it was set aside-- moves, rubs just a little at his Autobot brand, the gesture rote, habitual.
Arcee’s optics follow Megatron’s fingers to the brand, and he forces his field to calm and his shoulders to settle. Sometimes it slips his mind, although he supposes it probably shouldn’t. After all, a lot has happened between now and then.
“I’m just trying to get where I’m going, the same as you.”

“I’ll hold you to that.” He wouldn’t normally take kindly to being scoooted, but Seacrest has diplomatic immunity. Out you go, Arcee, into the scary world full of social interactions.
When the portal opens up and Seacrest bows to him, he can’t help but smile a little brighter, and not just from the happy thrill in his spark he gets whenever someone genders him correctly.
“Cute.”
He steps on into the swirling lights and whatever awaits him beyond.
Aw, Arcee is cute when he smiles. A rare event in the cosmos, but it makes his spark bounce around in his chassis like his altmode’s inspiration leaping from the waves, don’t mind him trotting forwards to link an arm with pink pal so he doesn’t exit the portal swamped by curious squaddies.
Stepping out of the swirling vortex reveals… Oh no.
“Ah! Aha! Wrong room! Wrong room!” There goes Seacrest trying to scoot Arcee towards the door after they stepped out into his berthroom. His nerdishly decorated berthroom with posters! And framed things! And bric-a-brac! How will Arcee think he’s cool now!?
