Office Layout:

His office is located in Donghai's Public Library. Top floor in one of the backrooms. And yeah he did live in it. Its drab but its doable. He mainly likes it due to the quiet. The overall look is very film noir.

((Gao Feng came from a clan that was very strict on how life for them was supposed to be in order to be safe and thrive. This isnt something random but because the macaque clan has been faced with humans, disease, and other demons that have actively killed their own before. So any outside force and especially things that were deemed "odd" posed as a threat to her family. Sorta like how Kurchak from Tarzan was. Liu Er's existence feels like a threat to her because 1. outsider, 2. he is clearly not a normal monkey demon. And the fact they find him covered in blood doesnt help. But its Yinuo who helped open her heart to Liu Er and take him in as one of their own. After he saved Gao Feng as a child that did earn her respect, and she did end up teaching him martial arts. She was becoming fond of him but as he kept getting older there was a shift especially since he started looking into dark magic. Something Gao Feng is also against. So it reinforced her hostility towards him. Yinuo and her had arguments late at night about him which he did hear. But in the end it was Yinuo who kept them all together. After she died Gao Feng was so heart broken that she felt like she didnt have the strength to properly love her son...But that is something she will regret later down the line because related or not thats still her son and part of her and Yinuo.))

I'm genuinely curious... Since it's said that the Six-Eared-Macaque can hear even things from the Future, IF that's true... There are things that he heard that he wished he didn't? Like I don't know... Wukong's drunken gibberish (even I won't dare to imagine what he might say 😅), or maybe sounds that at first didn't make sense to him... Until the very event unfolded before him?

He has always been listening in on Wukong for years but he just couldn't do anything at the time.

There ARE some things he hears in the future that dont make sense at first until it happens or he pieces it together as times goes on. And there are events he hears that COULD change depending on how things unfold. Sorta like he hears a timeline and tries to follow the one that gets him the outcome he would like. But even then the future is not set in stone.

I heard a rumor that that little monkey in New gods: erlang shang is possibly you, care to comment? If I recall, in the after credits the tiny money guy seemed to recognize wukong and seemed afraid which would make sense considering your... history.

What got mihou to forgive wukong for, ya know, killing him? Was is a "time heals all wounds" type of deal or was Mihou like "ya know what, anger is exhausting so im just gonna let it go". Or did something specific happen at some point after his revival that made mihou have an epiphany and make him able to forgive and be at peace with what happened between them? I imagine that that sort of thing would be very difficult to forgive.

It was less about the killing, it was something he brushed off after climbing out of hell the first time, but more so he felt that Wukong got EVERYTHING. The loving family, friends, the fame, the second chance, a peaceful life of retirement, etc.

His plan and deal with the DC was that he would turn Wukong in and thus get his own freedom. And in his mind it was the perfect revenge.

But as he spent more time with Wukong and got to know him (not just listen) it became harder to go through, especially when Wukong seemed to genuinely enjoy his company. He was going to push through it but once Wukong showed him affection he knew he lost again but in a different way.

who is the dept collector in relation to mihou? Why is he under his thumb?

The Debt Collector is an entity that feeds on souls. And its considered a threat to the cycle of life and death so the gods see it as a pest that needs to be killed on sight. To survive it hides and feeds on souls, mainly with stronger energy (mythical creatures, immortals, demons, etc.). Human souls dont sustain it enough and it will become weak to the point it dies. Other than that, its pretty much weak and it knows this.

So it has to rely on its own wit. Thus it formed a paracitical relationship with Liu Er. Because Liu Er is also hiding from the gods after ressurecting, the debt collector took it as an opportunity to strike a deal with him that will have Liu Er not only hidden from the eyes of Heaven, but also bring it souls to feed on every once in a while. Or else it would feed on Liu Er instead.

Liu Er has tried before to get away but as punishment it began to eat away at his own soul bit by bit, causing him to lose some of his powers. Liu Er does not want permadeath so he feels there is no other choice but to obey the contract they have.

FUN FACTS:

The X over Liu Er's heart is basically the signature of the contract. When the debt collector is near his heart will hurt.

Liu Er actually could not hear that this thing was tricking him because it had no soul attatched to it.

Not only does it threaten to just cut the contract and eat Liu Er's soul completely, it will taunt Liu Er with all of his internal fears. TBH hes kinda like Gwima in KPDH and I pointed this out with my friends when the movie released XD
