I have an in universe headcanon for why the lemurs in tpom have less nuanced personalities. They’re actually based on how the penguins perceive the lemurs. Especially from Skipper’s point of view.

It's crazy to me that the first film is almost 20 years old already! Right off the bat almost all of the iconic parts of the franchise were introduced, laying the groundwork for installments yet to come. 19 years ago today we witnessed KJ first moving it, the penguins first smiling and waving, and the zoosters going on a globetrotting adventure.
