i know we’ve talked about this but the shot of ilya slamming shane into the boards is so FUCKING HOT when you put the hard fucking into the sofa side-by-side. hits in hockey can be so fucking unapologetically brutal but also necessary for an opponent to gain possession of the puck, and sometimes when you watch it you can’t help but wince at the strength with which they hit each other.
