Smarties, what’s the best piece piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Our nanny hurt her foot and has been out for two weeks. Bex has been shuttled around from one grandma to the other, got an awful fever / cough and was in between sessions at Kidville so had no classes. She was beyond feisty and we didn't know what to do with her. My husband literally asked if we could return her on Sunday it was so bad! Today was the first day of camp (I know, in May, whatever), and this girl was beyond excited to go. I asked them to let me know how she was and warned them about the changes we had noted - but she could not have been nicer, happier and sweeter. She also finally met the new fill-in nanny who will be with us for the next few weeks until my nanny gets better. There were a few tears as I left them home together to play for an hour and I was worried. But I came back to a sweet girl who was smiling and actually thanked her for coming over to play! It was like night and day. I think she was craving routine - she was just as anxious and stressed as we were about who would watch her and where she would be. She was probably feeding off the energy we were putting out too. Here's hoping tomorrow, this nanny's first full day, goes well, and stability is restored!

Baby Carrier Giveaway

Ordinarily, my giveaways are centered around toys for toddlers/preschoolers, but in honor of my 3rd son’s birth, this time around I’d like to give away my favorite baby carrier: The Beco Butterfly 2.

Beco discontinued this model which I think is a travesty. I used it with my older sons until they were 2 years old & refused to be worn anymore. I started using it with my younger sons at 4 days old. This thing is a work horse. I tried 5 cheaper baby carriers before I finally bit the bullet and dropped the cash on this one. I have not once regretted it.

Why is it so awesome? The newborn insert allows you to carry an itty bitty baby. It’s sturdy and easy to use when baby is an infant for front carry. And it allows easy positioning into a back carry for up to 45 pounds.

This carrier has been an ultimate lifesaver. I used it when traveling across the country alone with an 8 month old. I used it chasing after a 2 year old on the playground while wearing his little brother. I’m using it today for my first Costco run alone with all 3 kids. And I’d like to share one with you!

I’m giving away one new (1) Beco Butterfly 2 Baby Carrier in Espresso (brown). I wish I could offer color choices, but this is the only color left available through Amazon Prime. But mine is brown, too, and I love it, it hides stains quite well!
