Hello. Do you ever plan on writing a Delena fic? I don’t really like them once they get together in canon but I know I would eat your take on them up!!

I agree, in canon, once they get together, they are missing that all important ingredient... which is actually stelena. Absolutely shattered me when I realized that delena doesn't work without Stefan insisting on adding himself in as the third leg of their relationship.

I suppose if I ever write a delena fic I would attempt to finish my fic Blood Ties. I posted that one and it was one of those fics where I just didn't get any comments on it (the comments that eventually came took months/years to trickle in) so I lost confidence on it. I like to think though that I have enough confidence that I could continue that fic now with or without the interaction :)

I'm so curious about how Elena will navigate having sex with Klaus without having told him about the fertility thing, like can't use condoms that's a dead giveaway, birth control? That would prompt a conversation if found… or she raw dogs it and decides to baby trap him? Idk man, you always do these things so well I'm really excited.

if you want to know the answer:

I think the events that will lead to Elena and Klaus having sex (having a lot of sex) are going to be so insano and put Elena so emotionally over the top that she is just! not! going! to! think! too! hard! about! it! and if that requires a lot of repressing of Very Important Information, well! She's actually really great at that!

Kol unfurls from the chair, rises to his full height to glare down at his elder brother. “No, she’s not.” But she is a weapon

Is this the part of the sentence Kol decided to keep to himself? Klaus must know what he’s planning!

Yes, that IS essentially what Kol is getting at!

Klaus is on to Kol, that he’s not here for just a family reunion or anything so harmless as that. Kol is on scene because he has figured out something extremely specific about Elena, and he wants to determine once and for all 1) of she’s aware of it (yet) and 2) if he has an opening to… handle that.

Klaus doesn’t know what Kol knows, though, specifically, or else his level of freak out would be through the roof, never to return to earth.

(Elena actually sort of does know, at least the suspicion is there, which she has mentioned in oblique ways several times. This is one of those storylines that is meant to shock on first read and then satisfy on reread when all the little throw away lines that are camouflaged now jump out.)

Meanwhile, Klaus actually means this in the sense that he is affirming Elena’s personhood, and Elena is picking up on that and is too distracted by that to focus too hard on what Kol might be really saying.

The chapter is feeling really good to me right now— it’s all snapping into place in a way that feels faster paced and tighter than I have been able to achieve lately. When the preview gets posted to this tumblr account, you’ll know the update is imminent. I don’t want to give anything exact because the last time I did, I literally went into premature labor that afternoon. Not planning to repeat that and find out what God could have in store for me this time.

Elijah is back way too early considering Klaus assumed this would take years. Seems a little suss, idk…
