“Oui. I’m new here. What gave me away?”
“The fact that you’re female and I haven’t hit on you” she laughed, “I’m totally kidding, but like not”
Wyatt had arrived at Foxcroft a couple days ago on the down low. Honestly, his parents couldn’t have waited until after Christmas to send him to another school? He didn’t understand it but he did what they told him to do. The fresh face at fox croft was walking around trying to get himself acquainted with the campus. “Hey, weird question but you don’t happen to know where like a forest preserve or something around here would you?”
“I don’t” she shook her head while gathering up her things from the table. Liza had soccer practice and she was never late to soccer practice. “I’m sure an instructor or even the grounds keeper would know the area a lot better than me” she simply stated, “sorry”
“Oh my god!” Jamie hadn’t expect to see her classmate’s reflection in the mirror, quickly turning around with her hand clutching her heart. She had looked away for a moment to reply to a text and taking a quick break from getting ready when she looked up and suddenly saw them in her mirror. “How long have you been standing there?!”
With just her phone one her, Liza walked the halls aimlessly. She found herself daydreaming a lot lately. She used to think about the past, now she doesn’t see much of anything in her head besides what she makes up. This could be due to the semi-permanent haze she put herself in taking the pills that she did. While wandering, her steps brought her to a familiar room. She smiled, padding herself quietly inside and leaning against the wall. “Not too long” her voice was soft, a small slur at the end giving away that she wasn’t quite sober. “Hi, cutie pie”

“Who are we hiding from?” Aurora asked softly. She had been working on yet another spread for the year book when a familiar face grabbed her by the arm and pulled her down below the desk she was working at. “Did you piss someone off and are using me as a shield now? I’ll have you know, I’m pretty awful at being a shield. Trust me, my brothers have tried many times during their nerf fights.“
“What?” She laughed, cuddling up against her best friend. “No. I’m just hiding from the Vixens” she looked down at the uniform she wore and shook her head. “I have no idea how Heidi and Maddie got me to agree, then actually stay” she laughed again, mostly to herself. “I just need a break from the mentality of cheering on the idea of other human beings’ demise”
“An hour?” she yawned, stretching and trying to wake back up. She couldn’t believe that she been asleep for longer than that. As her vision began to focus again, she finally recognize the girl and smiled a little. “Hey, it’s you. You’re…” Shit, what’s her name again? Laura? Leia? Lindsey? “Lexa?” she asked sheepishly. “I’m horrible at names, I’m so sorry.”
A shrug rolled off the blonde’s shoulders as her attention now split between the girl and her work. “That’s okay, I never got your name the first time we met so I think we’re even” she smiled. A few more clicks of her keyboard and she was done. Paper sent. She closed the laptop and returned it to her bag. “So, you planning on taking another nap or do you feel like grabbing a coffee with me?”
“I think everything can be considered art…” Sage tried, giving it one last shot. She doubted it was going to work, but she was kind of desperate here. “Well if you’re sure it’s not for you, maybe you know someone who’d like to join?”
Ideally, the names of her art friends should of started pouring through her thoughts. Instead, she came to a sort of a sad realization, she didn’t have any. “Actually” she pouted “I don’t”. In came a short pause as her genius brain worked itself out. “Can people who want to learn about art join? Because if that’s the case, I would be down” she smiled.
Whoa, whoa, whoa… Where the hell is she? For a moment, she almost freaked out before she realized that she was in the lounge. Holly couldn’t remember when she fell asleep on the couch. Rubbing her eyes with the palm of her hands, she groaned a little as she sat up. “How long was I asleep?” she asked groggily.
Liza looked up from the table she was sitting at. She needed to type up a paper that was due the next day and found the lounge quiet and comfortable. Clearly she wasn’t the only one. “Woah, it talks” she smiles “I’m not really sure but I’ve been here for an hour and you were already passed out”
‘ feel free to tell me to fuck off, but i need to get a couple more pictures of students here, or else my photography teacher is gonna flunk me. what can i do to get you to help a guy out? ‘
“i love helping people out. where do you want me?”
“no fucking way” he chuckled, “it’s a horse”
“cool horse! can i pet it?”
“Are you interested in joining the Art Club? If we get more members we’ll get more funding and can get better quality art supplies.” She paused adding something she thought might help. “It looks good on college applications.”
“If I could draw more than stick figures I would be there in a heartbeat cutie, but unfortunately I’m artistically challenged. Unless you consider scoring the winning goal with your head art” she smiled.
She was surprised. Sure, it was a pleasant surprise and she was happy that the blonde didn’t bring up her being nearly naked, but she didn’t expect her to bring up the fact that she doesn’t talk. ‘I can. I mean, I use to, but I don’t really talk anymore. It’s a long story.’One that she didn’t feel comfortable sharing, especially with some stranger while standing in a towel with wet hair. It was the main reason why she came to Foxcroft in the first place; There was no way in Hell she was going to just talk about it. She’s trying to get her life back in order. Taking in the girl’s appearance, her raised a brow at her. ‘Good practice?’
Liza waited patiently as the girl typed away on her phone. She felt her own vibrate in her bag but deemed it rude to answer as the other was trying to communicate. Once the phone was presented to her again, she nodded in understanding, offering a sympathetic grin. “Well, Im sure your voice is as beautiful as your eyes are green. I hope I get to hear it one day” she tucked a strand of the other’s hair back behind their ear. Noticing the girl typing, she dropped her hand and watched the words appear on the screen. “Yes, great actually. They take soccer a lot more seriously here than in the states. I love it! But I need a bath” she giggled “I probably smell huh? Well, I’ll see you around” she spoke as she pulled out her phone, checking it as she walked down the hall.
“my hero” the girl chimes, and sends a silent thank you to the heavens for her savior. the prospect of dealing with the faculty bathroom had her seriously considering a transfer. “that must really come in handy, hm? having a dad that’s neurosurgeon? i can’t even tell you how much trouble writing my own doctors notes would have saved me at home–” then again, with all the overpriced shrinks she and her mother had seen over the years you’d think she’d have at least one of their autographs down pat. “well, since you’re the daughter of a neurosurgeon those are basically doctor’s orders, right?” venice declares brightly and stuffs the pass in her bag for safekeeping, never having to be told twice to skip an afternoon of classes. “i think they already think there’s something wrong with my brain, but do you think you could write one of those for yourself too?” she asks, tilts her head ever so slightly. “because if i’m gonna skip i need a buddy, possibly to roam oxford street with”
liza shrugged off the question. she wasn’t really one to skip class. sure, from time to time she’d indulge herself but most of the time she was pretty good. what with her best friend always talking about five year plans for most of her life, liza was pretty much made to succeed. the times she did skip went unnoticed by her parents, so it was always a win win for everyone. her smile widened hearing the girl’s clever remark. “yeah, i guess you could say that” her eyes had a hint of suspicion waiting to hear what came next. she laughed a little, but nodded her head. “okay” she agreed “as long as i’m back in time for practice, consider me your new buddy”
“Cute?! Excuse me,” she frowned. “I’m not cute, I’m fucking hot.” Amelia shook her head in disgust, pulling a shirt over her head before hearing the knock. “Better.”
“Well if you’re hot, maybe you should strip down” she teased the other playfully. “Great, but now I’ve forgotten why I even came in here in the first place” she sighed, “oh well. Guess I’ll just catch you later then. Let me know when you’re done being a brat”
“callie” she had only been here maybe a week, or so, hadn’t ventured out much. “i’m just trying to make out with boys who buy me drinks, know the place?”
“nice to meet you callie” she smiled, nodding at the girl’s question. “i know a place. mind if i change first? i’d rather not be in my cheer uniform whilst getting trashed with strangers” not that she’d want to be in her cheer uniform getting trashed, period. not the best representation for the school, or was it.
Sage laughed. “Now that’s one way to look at it. Greece looks gorgeous, I always wanted to go there.”
“Recently I’ve learned there’s a brighter side to everything. I’ve been to Greece twice and it is amazing! The food is great, the water is clear, and their parties aren’t half bad either” she smiled at her classmate.
God dammit, Holly thought in annoyance, finding her clothes in her locker in the girl’s locker room missing. She knew that her teammates on the volleyball team were testing her but this? Totally annoying. Making her way back to her dorm in her towel, her phone in one hand while the other kept her towel from slipping, she was pretty proud of herself for not running into any of her classmates yet- that is, until she turned around the corner. Her eyes widened before glancing at her towel-clad self then back at her fellow student. Smiling sheepishly, she opened her phone to the notes app, typing in her words before showing her phone to her classmate: ‘Hi, hello, let’s keep this between us, yes?’
tussled hair fell in wavy locks around her shoulders after pulling out her scrunchy. there was a pink tint on her cheeks and sweat tickled her face like glitter. liza was exhausted from practice. all she wanted to do was take a shower and lay down. en-route to her dorm room, she came face to face with an unfamiliar student dressed in a towel. though, liza didn’t see an issue with it. when the girl began typing, liza’s mind raced with a million questions. as the phone was offered to her she looked at it curiously before reading the lettering on the screen. liza was less concerned about the towel than she was about the girl not talking. she batted her long eye lashes, “wait, can you not talk?”
