Leave a name in my inbox and Iâll post a song about how my muse feels about them
Nike looked the girl over once more, like a coach eyeing up new recruits to poach from other schools. âYes yes, youâre small,â she half muttered to herself, gears already spinning. Yes, she did have a good body type for the sport, and she was young enough to be trained and be able to compete⊠butâŠ
âBut we donât have a gym! I have no equipment to train you on, no bars, no spring boards, no beams no pommel horsesâŠâ She paced to and fro, biting her nails. How many favours would she have to pull to get one of those pieces? Then, there was that other problem. Nike slid her eyes back to the human, calculating. âWhy do you even want to learn gymnastics anyway? Why should I help you? What will I get in return, far off news that my student has one off to win an Olympics I canât even watch?â Was that a pout on her lips, or was that just the way the sun fell?
Liz thought for a moment, trying to not embarrass herself in front of someone she found worthy of her respect. While Liz respected Herakles, it was in a different way than she respected Nike. He was like a parent, Nike was a mentor. âWe could...build them? I canât build but maybe, you know, I could do some labor work in exchange for supplies?â Liz found herself fumbling as she realized that she wasnât being exactly thorough in her plans. She was clearly too starstruck to have really thought these things through. Her mind reeled as the human girl struggled to think of what exactly a goddess could get out of it. What would even appeal to a goddess like Nike?
âI could give you...credit that you never really got before, Ms. Nike?â
âGive it back! Itâs mine! I saw it first!â Yuki shrieked at the woman tugging at the chain in hopes of prying it loose from her grasp. The woman in turn yanked  her own portion of the chain, harder than Yuki had expected. The thin metal chain snapped in half and freed itself from her grasp but not before cutting into her palm. Yuki cried out glaring down at her bleeding palm before turning back to the woman and creating an illusion over herself. âGive it back!â The illusion snarled as her form seemingly grew taller, her hands turning into black talons, her teeth became a sharks serrated teeth and her eyes golden and slited. The woman cries out in terror throwing the necklace at her as she turns on her heel and runs. Yuki drops the illusion when her concentration breaks. She catches the necklace and begins walking home her eyes not leaving the silver chain. She runs face first into a chest. âOh! Iâm sorry!âÂ
Liz just blinked back at the strange woman in front of her. What on earth had she just seen? Talons? Large woman? Teeth? It was like everything Liz had nightmares about but she was too stunned to turn around and run screaming bloody murder. This was how she was going to be eaten. This was what Fenrir and Herkales had all warned her about. She stepped back slowly, tripping over a branch and just stared at the strangeness in front of her, clasping her own necklace. âUh. Please donât eat me, please? Please? Please?â
âPlease donât cry, I didnât meanâŠâ Taima stopped speaking when she spotted the obviously terrified man in the corner of the room. âYou donât have to⊠him? Who is he? What did he do?â Taima stood from her spot at the bed to walk towards the man when she heard a quiet Taima. The thunderer turned, slowly. Her hand automatically went to her motherâs bracelet as the face, so much like her own, stared back at her. âUnitsi?â Without turning from her mother,
âI donât know what he did! I canât think of any reason why heâd be here...heâs--â Her voice was stifled by her sobs as she continued to cry and reach toward the man. âMy father...â It was all she could manage as she turned toward the other woman. âWhatâs wrong with you? Who are you? What is going on?â
âYou are fine, little one. The island is dangerous at night, and it is customary in my culture at least that you take in travelers when they past your doorstep.â Athena hadnât been a stickler on it but she knew that Hermes and Zeus would have been upset if she broke it.
âIt is no problem. I just wish I could offer you a hot bath or something, I still need to figure out how to fix the hot water tap.âÂ
âWould you like to join? You must be tired or something and I donât mind sharing, especially since youâve been so kind to me,â Elizabeth offered. She wasnât sure if it was something she was allowed to do, or if it would even anger Athena. The thought of Medusa came to mind but the human believed that such a woman wouldnât cause her such harm. It was a risk, and Liz was not used to risks nor any signs of affection, but the goddess just looked...so sullen to her. âI mean, I donât want to make you uncomfortable, I just...I donât have anything to offer in return except the same kindness, or any kindess.â
âDonât.â The order came loud and commanding, his voice as stern as the one he used in battle fields. âJust Herakles.â He was no oneâs father, Hera made damn sure of that. And after what heâd done, he didnât deserve one now. He locked the door behind them and he moved to the kitchen to set the grocery bags down on the counter. âThose are new actually, had to throw away my old ones cause of the storm. But sure, I guess thereâs no harm in redecorating.âÂ
âOkay, tad.â It was rare for her to speak in her home tongue, but there was a sense of comfort that she felt with Herakles. A feeling of safety that she couldnât have even felt with her own father, not once in her whole life. Trying to keep the thoughts of her father away, she looked excitedly around the house. âThis is going to be so fun, tad! I say we add some pink! Maybe some blue? Whatâs your favorite color? Mine is red! I wish I had some of my own things with me though. Like my books and medals and...clothes. Do you use conditioner?â She knew she was rambling and probably annoyed him, but anything to keep her goblins from nipping at her emotions.
the worldly woman -- liz&lilith
Lilith moved to fasten her robe even tighter, she didnât want to give the pure girl an eye full. Even though she was tempted, just to see her reaction. Her hand reached her head to smooth her morning hair- which infuriatingly still looked fabulous, even disheveled. âYou came at a right time, angel. I just cleaned up my house, usually itâs not this neat and tidy âcause I tend to be rather lazy.â She said to the human before chuckling at her statement. âMr. Grump? And donât worry about it, us girls have to stick together, right?â The succubus gave a wink before starting to walk towards her room. âFollow me, love.â
Elizabeth nodded and followed the woman toward her room. She was so beautiful, Liz felt incredibly plain against her. Plain brown hair, brown eyes, and so ridiculously small. All her life, people had commented on how small she was, as if it were something she could control. The girl wondered if Lilith thought the same thing, but Liz was eternally grateful that she didnât say so. âI think your house is lovely, it seems..lived in, and thatâs always a good thing,â the brunette mumbled as she peeled her eyes off of Lilithâs back to look around. âI guess so, Iâve never really had any females in my life before, except my roommate at boarding school and teammates but those arenât really...friends?â
â there is no NEED for that. â gentle fingers CARESS her cheek. â not when you are such a STUNNING woman. â
Biting her lip, Liz found herself unable to look away from him. Her skin pricked with a feeling that she could not recognize. âUhm, Thank you, I just...youâre very nice!â
fenriisulfr:
fenrir smiles SADLY. â perhaps it is BEST if you do not live trapped on this island for ETERNITY. â she doesnât DESERVE such a fate.
âI donât think I really am able to leave, and why would I leave if I have a great friend like you? Where would I go, anyway? Never had a home, you know.â
âWeâll see,â he mumbled under his breath, holding the rope gently before his fingers wrapped around it tight to take it from her. Humans were so silly. And he could recognize one when he saw oneâmainly out of the fear they reeked (or rather, she did), and the..Something he couldnât put a finger on. Sighing, one hand holding the tool, the otherâgrasping a girl and spinning her in it tightly he didnât break a sweat. âBe a doll and stand still, would you? I need to see how much rope it would take to tie someone up. I will untie you right awayâwonât even make a knot.â
She immediately found her muscles clenched as she found herself wrapped in her own rope. With a strange man. Elizabeth realized there was something strange about him in that moment, but the ever cautious human obliged. âO-Oh, I guess thatâs okay,â her voice stammered. âUhm, Iâm an incredibly petite person so maybe Iâm not the best model for this sort of thing?â
How do you really feel about Fenrir?
"I..." Liz fumbled a bit as her hands shuffled together, struggling to hide the fear wrecking havoc through her bones. A look of terror was swallowed back and replaced with sorrow as Elizabeth continued to speak. "He is a wolf before he is anything else. Clearly it is but a matter of time before he turns me into food. I cannot trust him, no, I can't."
