About sasaengs, please read
If sasaengs end up being the reason why BTS disband, they are gonna be catching some hands.
Yesterday, I had a sickening realization while watching @michellemoe ’s series on BTS sasaengs. ‘Cause it is so much worse than I thought.
There are literally people who dedicate their lives to following BTS 24/7. People get jobs at airlines to achieve ticket information and people sell and buy it illegally, only to take and sell pictures of them in private settings on the planes. They try to (and sometimes manage to) physically assault them at airports. They follow them, stalk them, film and take pictures constantly. Every day, all the time.
And that might make you ask; “Are you sure? Because wouldn’t we see more of this content then?” No. Because sasaengs have different exclusive, private groups where they exchange or sell info with each other. It would be too easy to get caught otherwise. Most of the real info and content, you can only get to if you are deemed reliable enough. Even back in 2015(!) there were many armies that had illegally bought flight info on the members and stalked them on the airplane. Their fame then is nothing compared to now. This one girl (illegally) stalked them all the way from Korea to Taiwan last year and kept following them there. It’s sick.
These sasaengs sell shit like phone numbers (that several BTS members have had to change multiple times because of sasaengs), kakaotalks, flight information, passport information, addresses, relationship info etc etc. They even claim to sell 18+ photos. It is truly terrifying.
Even though all the members receive excessive harassment and abuse -because that’s what it is, Jungkook seems to have it the worst. Pictures have been posted of him sleeping on planes, pictures from RUN!BTS sets, he’s nearly been jumped at airports, he’s been stalked past airport security. They all have but JK seems to get the majority of this disgusting stalking. I feel so ashamed, even though I have not contributed to this part of kpop culture. Because it’s only getting worse.
These people are not “sasaeng fans”, just “sasaengs”. Because these people are not fans. They must cause so much emotional stress on the boys and make them literally terrified for their lives, everywhere they go. They are obsessive and pathetic and have some sick, twisted fantasy that the boys are gonna fall in love with them. Hate to break it to you, but you are disgusting and no one will ever love you.
BTS have dated and some of them definitely are dating. If you believe otherwise, you are delusional. Idols date all the time. The only reason we don’t know that is because companies don’t let media expose it and sasaengs keep that info in their own circles. But they date, get that through your thick heads. And they deserve privacy. It has come to the point that even BTS (who literally never speak badly of or are rude to their fans) have gotten so fed up that they have started filming these sasaengs back, like Tae and Yoongs. I heard Yoongs was actually hit by a sasaeng recently.
If BTS have not publicly told us something, we are not meant to know!
Recently, BigHit publicly released a long, extensive list of sasaengs who have been blacklisted from coming anywhere near BTS in the future. It’s a small step but it is an important one. These stalkers are a threat to BTS’ lives and I’m glad that they are being caught. A few popular fansites were apparently owned by stalkers, as well.
What needs to be done going forward, is BTS need a private jet, ASAP (did they get one already?) and they need sooo much better security. Things have to change, now. Or we’ll lose them. I think dating scandals could do them some good too, because there are people out here thinking that they’re innocent virgins, waiting for their dream fan to appear. Nah, bitch.
As a final note, REPORT sasaengs and get them blacklisted. And RESPECT our boys. They are humans like you and I, and they deserve so much better.
