The photos above are from the annual Dia de los Muertos parade hosted by Mexci-Arte Museum. It’s always a lot of fun shooting this event, for a parade of the dead, they sure are lively. ;-)
I was privileged to accompany Elizabeth Blair to photograph for her special series on Arts and Education for NPR. This photo above was taken at Savoy Elementary School, they are funded by The Arts Initiative Program.

Smithsonian National Zoo at Washington, D.C. I love going to the zoo here, not only is it a 15 minute walk from my house but it is freaking FREE!! I really enjoy spending time in the Amazon house and watching the little monkeys jump from trees to trees. This is a Dusky Titi, which is also known as a red-bellied titi.
This is my other partner in crime besides Miso Chen, Nathan. He is the best.

Newtown, Conn., residents Darren Wagner and Georgia Monaghan traveled to Washington, D.C., to attend the gun control rally on Saturday.
Today I covered the gun control rally for NPR and they created a short slideshow of my images. I met families from Newtown and other victims of gun violence. Their stories were sad but hopeful.
