Hey guys! I'm sorry I dropped the ball on liveblogging last weekend. In addition to all this virus mania and freaking out over the last eps of SU, another little thing took over my weekend. Or, I guess I should say, 9 little things. A litter of puppies born into my family! The days kind of got away from me with all the hectic stuff newborn pups entail. Here's a pic if you want to see them!

Lyric interpretation: They don’t have to leave things up to fate. They don’t have to hang out because they’re fighting a war. They can just hang out because they want to. They can each have their own journeys and goals, but still be each other’s cheerleaders in those pursuits.
And they unfused with one skate each and just held hands the rest of the night and still skated as one person unfused??? It’s illegal to be this cute.

Seriously, Bismuth/Pearl is even better than Pearl/Volleyball (imo). They’ve got the history. Bismuth is the more beefy looking character, but Pearl is the dominant personality between then. Bismuth is actually shy and awkward in new situations. Bismuth has probably held a flame for Pearl for thousands of years, but Pearl never would have noticed with Rose around and now…*sigh*
It’s just too pure. Too wholesome. I can’t.
Kinda salty there was no Mystery Girl, but also glad she wasn’t there to mess up Bismuth’s funky flow with Pearl.
Guys, this has got to be my favorite episode of SUF. There’s been a lot of great moments, but this one just hit it out of the park. I knew the Crewniverse would send us off strong. <3
Taking the weekend off!
Hello lovely train passengers. I’ve heard through the grapevine that the next ep of Infinity Train is when stuff really starts to take off and get crazy. I’d like to give it the attention it deserves, but I have a big exam to study for, as well as the next big Steven bomb this Friday, which I will be busy freaking out about on my main. :P

The Adventure Time vibes continue.
Tulip had to sing something deeply personal to her to get some magical guy with a key to unlock a door for her. She tries alternative methods first, because facing your emotions is hard and can make you feel vulnerable in front of your friends. Anyone else made this comparison between these two door lords yet?
Also, I love that her emotional song probably wasn’t anyone else’s. It was tied to when her family was together, and happy. When they could just be silly and take road trips together. My heart continues to break for this kid.
Join me next time for “The Cat’s Car.” I really don’t like that cat, but I have a feeling she’ll be turned into a redeemable character at some point. Y’all have probably figured out I’m a dog person by now.

Uh, yeah it can. That’s literally what the show did.
This sounds pretty much like the dog version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Also, did y’all know bully sticks are dried bull penises? So, it’s a story about if the Grinch stole penises instead of toys.

Real talk about this little moment: I have anxiety issues and I legit don’t know where I would be without my dog. They are such good mindfulness companions because they live completely in the moment. When my thoughts overwhelm me, I can take my dog outside and tune into her mindset where all we do is focus on the sensory input around us. The sun on our backs. The grass under our feet. The breeze on our cheeks. The awkward, unbreaking eye contact she insists on having when she poops.
It’s just nice, ya know?
This was my face this entire time Tulip was singing. Hopefully she didn’t have any hopes of joining choir at school. Now get the howling guy back up at the mic.
Nooooo! There’s a whole montage of her singing! And they’re just generic pop songs! You gotta dig deeper than that, Tulip.
Huh, One-One’s version of singing is a dial up sound...
The same sound that kids in the early 2000′s heard signing on to the internet.
My theory that One-One is the consciousness of a late 90′s/early 2000′s kid trapped in a robot continues to gain evidence.

Oh look, another instance of One-One having dysmorphia due to not having a human body, because he totally used to have one. I swear, I gotta start a master post of all the times this happens.
Yet another adorable new character! This show is starting to give me Adventure Time vibes. This crystal guy reminds me of Starchy.

Wait, hold up…
Yep. I need to write a drabble about Kombucha Car. Prepare yourselves.
Tulip figured the next car was public-restroom themed, because that’s exactly the smell that hit her in the face. Instead, she saw a boggy swamp of urine-colored liquid with thick films of mold on top.
Atticus lapped up some of the swamp water before she could stop him.
“Mmm, effervescent,” he mused.
“Atticus!” She scolded, “That could have been corrosive acid or something!”
“I trusted my nose that it wasn’t, and my heart.”
“Yeah, well you told me you ate poop, so I don’t exactly trust your judgement.”
“Everyone experiments in college, and I resent having my past used against me.”
She rolled her eyes and began a long-legged walk to only step on the least sodden parts of ground.
The reeds and grasses of the swamp grew so thick that they soon became impossible to see through. It seemed like they were walking for hours with nothing changing, when Atticus stopped, his hackles raised and a low growl rumbling from his squat body.
“What is it, weird duck?” One-One asked, “You’re vibrating! How fun!”
“I smell a different creature approaching us. Large. Reptilian. He’s-” Atticus hunkered down with a snarl “-brace yourselves, comrades!”
Tulip whipped around towards where Atticus stared just as an alligator emerged from the water. She screamed and tried to run, but immediately her foot sunk into the film of mold resting on top of the swamp water, trapping her.
“Please,” she cried, “don’t eat us!”
“Eat you? Girl, I just wanna meet you!”
The voice was softer than she’d expect from a 13 foot long lizard, and she relaxed as he plucked her boot from the bog.
“Oh, um thank you? Sorry I misjudged you.”
“I like your mustache, sir!” Piped in One-One.
The alligator also wore a plaid shirt, leather jacket, and a slouchie beanie. She had to admit she found the large handlebar mustache impressive as well, not because she found it aesthetically appealing, but because it was a marvel of biology that he was able to grow one in the first place.
“No judgement for misjudging here! Looks like you could use a drink. I’ve been waiting forever for someone to try this new batch I’ve been brewing.”
“New batch of what?”
“Kombucha, of course!” he gestured to the swamp around them and produced a tall glass from the inside of his jacket, using it to scoop up a generous portion of the amber liquid.
“Look at the impressive size of that scoby!” He gestured to the two inches of mold floating on the top of the glass.
“Yeah, that’s great,” Tulip pushed his hand away gently, “Look, I appreciate the offer, but I’m a child so I’m not allowed to drink. Can you just tell me where the exit is?”
“Oh, but the alcohol content is so minimal! There’s no way to become intoxicated. In fact, more children should drink it, as it contains live probiotics that do wonders for your gut flora.”
“Well, I tried some and thought it was pleasant,” said Atticus.
“You did? Oh wonderful! Come with me and I’ll teach you some of my recipes. I can also give you samples from other batches I have. I just made on with acai berries! Acai is a superfood with antioxidants that-”
“Mr. Alligator, I’d just like to go, please,” said Tulip.
“But think about your gut flora!” The alligator lunged at them with a roar, and Tulip ran. She knew she wouldn’t be able to outpace him, but was lucky enough to run face first into the door before she had to try. With a frantic push on the lever, they stumbled through the exit and slammed the door behind them just before the kombucha-crazed gator reached them with his well manicured claws.
“That stuff was nasty,” Tulip sighed as she slumped against the door, “I honestly would have just preferred if he tried to eat us.”
Adorable. Best shot of the series. 10/10. Questionably safe, but I’ll allow it because last ep Atticus got launched 50 feet into a rock by a wire monster and was fine.
Alright train passengers, it’s time to start “The Crystal Car” with me? I’m stoked because I’m a nerd for crystals.
On another note, I’ve been thinking of playing around with different Liveblogging formats for future episodes. I thought it might be fun to do react videos for the last three episodes of book 1 (or maybe just the finale), which is when I’ve been told all the crazy stuff goes down.
So, if that’s something you’re interested in, please reblog and help other train passengers find us! The work of making react videos would take would seem more worth it with more subs. :)

I'm new to liveblogging and still trying to find my pacing. It's honestly a more time consuming side project than I'd anticipated, and it's not always easy to come up with something witty or insightful to say for every scene I like that's not redundant, you know? Some episodes may go into more detail than others due to those factors, but I will try in the next episode to put a lot of thought into the moments I do focus on.
I've actually already started liveblogging the next ep and putting the posts in my queue, and I ended writing an entire little fanfic based on one of the screenshots. Hopefully you like it, and it makes up for other moments in the episode I'm less detailed with!
