@lizzy-wilde
Well I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, I sure as heck did as I went to a soup kitchen and spent the better half of my day there. And I know that the holidays are over now but I’m still in the giving mood, so if you all check your mailboxes you’ll find a King James Bible waiting for you. Your welcome.
fabrayfrankie:
It’s a good thing. I was pretty awesome back in the day.
Yeah, Faith feels really attached to some bad times. Maybe I’ll reclaim it at some point. I’m fine, kinda just, acclimating to this weirdness. How about you?
Well hopefully you’ll be able to see me as friendly glowing beacon of the reflection of your youth.
That’s perfectly understandable, though you didn’t need to justify yourself to me, I’m glad you felt comfortable enough to share, not over share. But just the right amount, unlike other people I’ve met. The weirdness is quite overwhelming but I’ve been known to be the type to adapt to my surrounds quickly and you seem like the type to as well. I’m doing fine, across from a few morons who have tried to cross me, it’s been lovely.

I’m not a maid and I’ve lived in America my whole life.
You can clean your own damn bathroom. Looks like it might do you some good.
Oh my mistake...are you like, someone’s nanny then?
And what’s that supposed to mean?
jaysontheking:
I’m often that surprising, you’ll get used to it.
My pleasure. Honestly, women are often stronger than me. Though most of them never realize it and this is sad. Well then, whenever you want, you just call me and I’ll come. But I want that food you said you would make.
I’m looking forward to it. I’ve always been a big fan of surprises.
Not to sound like crazy hairy feminist, but I agree, if all women decided to take no shit then we’d take down The Man. I only have my desk to build which shouldn’t be too hard, at least I hope not. Of course, I was planning on making tacos in honor of Nina’s arrival to America.
berryxez:
I don’t see how it could be confusing. Anyone who sees themselves as the alpha wouldn’t be insecure enough to care what I call my sister.
Which makes you different from everyone else here how?
I never said I cared what I called your sister, I just said hopefully it doesn’t cause confusion that there are two girls going by the same name. Also apparently no one here knows how to take a joke, did hitting rock bottom deprive people of their sense of humor?
Considering I met more than enough people here wallowing in their own self pity to help themselves and/or completely content with their current situation so much so they don’t feel the need to move forward with their lives because they live comfortably...I’d say that makes me fundamentally different.

Wow. Guess someone hasn’t noticed I was gone.
Don’t use that tone, Katherine. I’ve been in school and not to mention I’ve been...away, for a while now. I’m not in the mood to fight though, how are you?

born-2be-wilde:
So, when did you get here? @lizzy-wilde
Kitty. Hi.
Uh, I just got got in last night...I wasn’t aware you were staying here.
ninaatthebarre:
Wow. This place is a lot nicer than expected. It’s almost as good as my old place. Maybe I won’t rush out of here quite so fast.
HOLA, WELCOME TO AMERICA. I HOPE YOU ENJOY OUR WONDERFUL COUNTRY. I PREFER LEMON PLEDGE WHEN CLEANING MY KITCHEN. LEMON PLEDGE, LIMÓN.
jaysontheking:
Wow.
That is such a good answer. Nice to meet you, Lizzy. I like you already. If you need help with your IKEA things, well then, I’m here to help.
...oh, wow. Well that went a lot better than I expected.
Thank you. It’s nice to meet you too, refreshing to meet someone who recognizes a strong women when he sees one. I would appreciate that. I have a few people coming to help but I also have a bunch of my own furniture so I’ll take all the help I can get.
carsonfinley:
You know nothing.
I am not edgy. I do not think I am cool. There is nothing cool about addiction, about self harm, about suicide. There is nothing cool about trauma. There is nothing edgy about me, except for the broken edges my life has left me with.
I might be razor blades and broken bottles. Split lips and broken bones. Crack cocaine and Irish Whiskey. But I am also a little girl grown up too fast, with lies on her tongue she’s still knows how to tell. A woman who learned how to fight the demons of her parents long before she learned how to fight her own. Who is still learning to fight her own. I am broken and there’s nothing cool about that.
Broken people aren’t pretty. They aren’t something to behold. So, sorry if the way my life has left me scarred isn’t something nice to look at, but, new flash, that’s life.
Oh honey, you know very little of my story. You know the highlights, the parts that come out when ignorant people like you decide they’re better because of religion or whatever the fuck it is you actually want to claim. If I was looking for pity, if I even gave a damn about what other people think, there are so many more things I could say. I gave up on people when I was young and it’s because of people like you that I have no faith in humanity.
You ever wonder why sad, insecure people look for attention? Because, usually, there is a reason, and it tends to be a good one. I know mine, but do you know yours?
Wow, that was a lot of bad early 2008 wanna be emo prose but I’ll try and dignify you with a response.
You say there’s nothing cool about it but you talk so much about it to people that it boardlines on bragging. Like you’re trying to one up and prove you’ve had it worse, however in this case you’re trying to get me to feel bad that I was being brutally honest by playing the pity card.
Really? I know very little? Because if those are the highlights, then I already know more about you than I know about my own parents. If I were you I wouldn’t make it a habit of spilling your guts to whoever will listen. That’s how cult leaders entrap their victims.
Anyways this has been fun but I’m tired of talking to someone who rather prove that no one will ever understand their pain than looking for a way to rise above their circumstances. Maybe we’ll do this again some other time.
luck-be-a-lilah:
It’s kind of encouraged… Come in, say hello. I waited a month to do it, just because what the hell are you supposed to say?
Did your Ikea furniture not come with the English language directions too? I think you can just download them off the internet if they didn’t. Might make it easier to figure the whole thing out.
You waited a whole month? I mean, did no one reach out to you with a welcoming pie?
Wait- that’s a thing??? I need you to show me how to do that ASAP. I think you’ve just become my favorite person- oh, I don’t think I’ve even caught your name.
jackklo:
Not noble, just tried to do what I thought was right. Yeah, Christian. It was with Hopes Crossing Church, here in NYC.
None of that is pathetic. Everyone makes mistakes. I think it’s really good that you recovered so quickly, and while this place may seem like a prison- I think of it as a place to be able to find yourself, and find God. Getting lost in every little thing, and stress, and pain, and money, it just takes you farther and farther away from being the person God planned you to be. I don’t think you need to figure anything out. I think you just have to repent and be thankful that that slap on the wrist was obviously God’s way of getting you here. I know it seems freaky. I was freaked out as well. But I’ve read my bible more in the past few weeks than I have in years. I’m not trying to tell you what to do, I really hope you don’t take it that way. I just know that I needed some positive thinking when I got here. I’m still repenting for my mistakes.
Noble and modest. Well aren’t you just a modern day saint? - I didn’t mean that to sound as sarcastic as it came out. Hopes Crossing? I don’t think I’m familiar with their church, granted I’m more of a Catholic girl myself. Maybe I can check it out one day though.
Oh, I definitely don’t consider this place a prison. It’s very nice despite its inhabitants. I think I may just not be used to living with people so vastly different than myself, even in school a lot of the people there came from a similar background. Here not so much. But I do defiantely plan on reflecting and meditating, hopefully God will reach out to me and guide me as to what’s the right next step for me. I guess it’s all just hard when I’m someone who likes to have everything planned out an advance so when things are thrown off...it makes me anxious.
