Meeting ‘Atlanta’ Star, Zazie Beetz

I can honestly say Childish has been a significant music artist in my life. As an aspiring film industry junkie, I respect his love for not only the music, but the ability to wear so many hats in one career. Well known as Troy from TV series Community, or as a prominent writer on 30 Rock, Gambino is deciding to go his own route in television.
Leaving Kirkwood to go to Little Five Points, me and Rez Nov spot this very attractive young lady in all gray walking with such a dope persona. We both admire how nice she looks but before I could even say anything about it, he pulls over to ask her if we could take a few photos for our portfolios.
I’ve heard the rumors about light skinned women in Atlanta so I honestly did not know what to expect. She turns her head toward the car, smiles and happily agrees to taking a few photos.
She tells me her name is Zazie. Then explains to me how she is an actor from New York, down in Atlanta because she is filming for a television show. I quickly tell her my aspirations to be in the film industry, then ask what show are they filming. Zazie tells me it is a show entitled ‘Atlanta,’ and my eyes light up!
After asking many questions, she said they had been filming for about 3 weeks and the episodes they have finished, are excellent. Zazie told me Gambino really wants to highlight black people in Atlanta that aren’t necessarily in the trap wave. I’m looking forward to the FX show, and proud to see Mr. Glover still doing his thing.
