Y'all canāt complain about fandom dying and then send anonymous death threats to people for disagreeing with you. The US is literally on the cusp of collapsing into full blown fascism. Do something useful with your time and energy!
Still one of the most beautiful things I've ever read.
I think about this whole passage at least once a month. Its so beautiful š
"I use the books as my grounding of Peeta. The films are great, but I felt like the book, the way Peeta was portrayed was quite different and more... I think he's quite humorous and strong. He's quite funny and he can make Katniss laugh, which I don't think we can see as much of in the film but it's definitely there in the book. Also because it's from Katniss' perspective, you really get a good kind of idea how she views him and it really takes Katniss a while to trust him so it's nice to be able to know that stuff from the book. It kind of warrants how Katniss feels about me (Peeta) until kind of the moment in the cave where she realizes, "oh, maybe he's... it's not just a show.""
- Euan Garrett (Peeta's actor in THG on stage) on Peeta Mellark [x]
To my 25 - 35 year olds, you've reached the age where people around you are starting to give up on themselves because they think it's too late. Don't let that energy rub off on you. It's not too late.
TUMBLR TORNADO SAFETY PSA:
IF YOU'RE ON THE HIGHWAY DURING A TORNADO,
DO NOT TAKE SHELTER UNDERNEATH A HIGHWAY OVERPASS
IT IS MUCH MORE DANGEROUS
This was a kind of sweet dashboard coincidence.
Tornado season has violently started in the u.s already so take it from a hardened Midwesterner who has been on the highways and interstate when the radio starts doing the RRRRRRRNGH. RRRRRRRNGH. RRRRRRRNGH. BEEEEEEEEEP thing:
DO NOT TAKE SHELTER UNDER AN OVERPASS. EVEN IF YOU CLIMB UP THE HILL THING. CONGRATS YOU JUST ENTERED A WIND TUNNEL DURING A TORNADO. DON'T DO THAT
We all do, buddy. We all do
oh i find it so infuriating when people make edits of the district 12 victors and they exclude peeta. he earned his title as victor!! he survived the games TWICE!! HE WAS ALSO A REBEL!!! they needed both peeta and katniss to spark to rebellion!!!
To this day, I can never shake the connection between this boy, Peeta Mellark, and the bread that gave me hope, and the dandelion that reminded me that I was not doomed.
-Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games (#1)
i dont want a childproofed internet i am almost 30 fucking years old. give your kid an internet safety talk and stop making it the problem of every adult on the planet every time some cryptkeeper legislator gets the brilliant idea (via conservative lobbying) to push through yet another bill gutting our access to free expression + increasing the powers of the surveillance state + lining the pockets of Big Data in the name of Protecting The Kids they wont even feed. this shit is exhausting i canāt believe weāre going to be fighting about it for the rest of my life
Thinking about DONāT TOUCH HER! againā¦
inside out if it was filmed in my head:
"so you think a careless crayon scribble on a piece of paper made by a human is worth more than the most beautiful of masterpieces made by an aiā" Yeah I do actually
