[alastors hobby is hoarding taxidermy]

i remember looking back at the scenes we got of alastor's room and noticing the amount of skeletons in there, which has led me to headcanon that alastor dabbles in taxidermy in his spare time.

oh, but he doesn't just collect them, he sources the specimens himself in his signature brutal fashion. cruel? absolutely. however alastor doesn't care for limiting his violence. if anything, hunting them down himself only increases their value to him, believing the experience attaches him to his specimens in a twisted, macabre way only his mind can comprehend. he holds a lot of sentimentality towards each piece of his collection as a result, and is oddly attached.

this is only furthered with another headcanon of mine being he's a hoarder of sorts. he keeps his space neat, however after having lived through world war one, his instinct to stockpile has never really gone away. and that goes for everything he deems remotely interesting or important to him. every specimen has a place, and each bone on that specimen is precisely positioned.

[how tall i think the hazbin cast were in life.]

alastor - [5'7] treading a fine line between short king and average height king. he got a massive power trip from his new height when he died, and it also explains why he was so eager to flaunt his height against lucifer when they first met. you can see him shorter than a lot of other men in his flashbacks. i genuinely can't picture his human form being tall and lanky for the life of me and i also love short kings.

angel dust - [6'3] tall and proud. saying that, the transition into his body in death left him quite daunted. the extra few inches threw him off for a while, but now he holds his height in high regard. loves how elongated his limbs look and thinks they add to his appeal.

husk - [5'10] decent stature. he never had any complaints against his height in life. in death, this changed slightly, given how a vast population of sinners are stupidly tall. it made him harder to take seriously as an overlord given he's a kitty cat on the shorter side.

sir pentious - [6'0] never had any thoughts on his height in life, honestly. he was a shut-in and far too invested in his inventions to really care about it or compare it to other people. he did enjoy how his height made it easier to reach things, and how his larger hands as a result helped hold pieces of his work together while he worked on them.

cherri bomb - [5'7] not short, but not exceedingly tall, either. she loved elevating her height with big boots and heels in life, something that still stands in death with her sinner form. has always taken pride in her height and often got a lot of attention given a taller stature for a woman was the beauty standard, back then.

niffty - [5'2] small and slender, though deceptively strong for her looks, very similar to how she appears in death as a sinner. i definitely think she had an obsession with cleaning even in life and struggled to reach higher surfaces. her sinner form now allows for little to no struggle in that regard, so she has little to no complaints about her height, now.

baxter - [5'5] short king alert, and honestly wore it like a badge of honour. he was never particularly phased by male beauty standards, though he was a little disappointed with his form in death. similarly to husk, he found it harder to be taken seriously, and his work is very serious to him.

vox - [5'11] however he would often say he was 6'0 or 6'1 to the point where he was honestly convinced that was his height. took pride in how he could look down on a good portion of people, and this only bolstered in death. in life and in death, favoured hiring employees that were shorter than him, purely for the power trip and to exaggerate his importance.

velvette - [4'11] short and wore it with exaggerated pride to hide her insecurities. thought she was cute and better than other women for it, having gotten wrapped up in the modern beauty standards from being online constantly. in death, she remained fairly short compared to other sinners, and that's when her insecurities bubbled to the surface. another case of not being able to be taken seriously as an overlord, especially as a woman in a male dominated space.

valentino - [6'6] stupidly tall in life, and even more so stupidly tall in death. his height added to his notoriety and loved how it set him apart from most others. often wore long jackets with bell sleeves to exaggerate his limbs, similarly to how he does in death. admittedly, he found his adjustment to his new height in death somewhat daunting like angel, but adjusted to it quicker.

charlie - she would be passionate about the game. i can definitely see her hopping on roblox in her spare time as well as dragging vaggi in to play as a duo. she would thrive in categories that would allow her to dress her avatar in fancy clothing. definitely would buy the vip section as well as all the extras the game has to offer.

vaggi - wouldn't be a consistent player, only really going on to play when charlie asks. saying that, i can see her practicing in her spare time after charlie initially mentions the game, so they could win together. some of her looks would still need some work, though notably, she would do really well in categories that would let her dress more alternative or comfortably.

angel dust - an avid player, and i could see this being canon provided hell has their own version of roblox. he would definitely have played through every theme multiple times over, watched tutorials, refined every outfit. he would probably struggle in categories that aren't fancy dress, but even then, it would be rare for him to come last place. another victim of the vip room, but would end up using the base game items more, anyway.

husk - i can't imagine him playing the game unless angel were to rope him in, and he'd be begrudging about it all. his outfits for every theme would be subpar, though if he ever got a carnival theme, he would happily try and recreate alastor. that's about as passionate as he would get in the game. the rest of his outfits would be simple. the theme is emotions? a blue avatar. the theme is si-fi? a green avatar.

cherri bomb - another avid player of the game, though not to the level angel dust would be at. i can definitely see her enjoying the more creative themes, but ones such as clean girl, airport, or cosy day would make her lose interest fast. she would definitely be ragebaited if the voting system was rigged, and she probably wouldn't touch the game for a while after. she would go through periods of intense playing and leaving it in the dust.

sir pentious - i don't see him really expressing interest in the game, but if he were to ever touch it, i feel like he would actually enjoy it. i see him getting quite good at it, too. his outfits would be well put-together and hold hints of his time period, but he wouldn't understand how to style more modern pieces unless cherri is there to assist him. this would lead to him being low in the leaderboard, as a result.

alastor - no. alastor hates all forms of modern technology, and realistically, he wouldn't go near it with a ten foot pole. putting that aside, however... if he were to play, i feel like he'd be a little like sir pentious, though a lot less enthusiastic. he'd put together dazzling outfits reminiscent of his time period, ignoring the themes blatantly. he'd make his avatar look just like his human form every time, not that anyone would know. however from the start, he would be one ragebait or unfair vote away from dropping the game all-together.

lucifer - would probably get into the game from hearing about it from charlie and use it as an attempt to get closer to her. i can see him playing duos with charlie at first, and over time it would seep into his personal time and would genuinely enjoy the game. his username would be something along the lines of his title in hell, something his pride couldn't help but flaunt. not many people would believe he's the actual king of hell on roblox or whatever hells alternative would be, however, and would bully him off the game. from that point on, it'd definitely be a sore spot.

niffty - she wouldn't be an avid player by any means and would probably only play it during a game night, if anything. i can picture her having a natural talent in the game though, putting together outfits quickly and them turning out quite well... except the outfits would be very reminiscent of gore. blood splatter, wounds, faceless avatars. the more you would look, the more disturbed you'd feel.

baxter - he'd have no interest in the game itself, but rather the reactions to his outfits. he would treat the game like an experiment, using different colours and themes to test the reactions of the people he'd be playing with. what colour invokes this response? what theme do people struggle to comprehend the most? by the time he would be done, many graphs would be drawn out for further analysis.

vox - in his mind, the game would be far too feminine for him to play... where other people can see, at least. if he were to play it, he'd play it in private and would take small bits of inspiration from the outfits in-game and incorporate them into his outfits in real life. it would be as close to velvette approving of his clothes as he would get. i feel like once he figures out the popularity of the game, however, he would take over the company in charge of the game and program subliminal messaging in there to gain more supporters. he would like the game a lot more after doing that.

velvette - she would definitely get competitive over the game and would be up there with angel dust in terms of play time and skill. she'd put together some of the best outfits players have ever seen and would be a trendsetter in the space. velvette would definitely make posts on social media about the game, probably having an account dedicated to her outfits and winning theme after theme. she would also duo with valentino on there sometimes, and he would be featured on her posts.

valentino - he would love the game, however he would only agree to play if velvette played as a duo with him, other than that, he'd be in free play mode refining his craft. he would also get competitive, but ultimately, valentino would be in it more for the love of the game and for bonding reasons with velvette. he'd occasionally request if he could play it on vox's screen, which he would get his way with after a few begrudging comments.

adam - could heaven even connect to the servers in hell? well, we saw it in season two, so why not? adam would play it purely for the joy of ragebaiting other players. he would put together either horrendous outfits or style the most beautiful alternative outfit you ever had the pleasure of seeing. there would be no in-between, but he would always pull out all the stops on themes like cyberpunk, dark academia, scene kid, and y2k. was also a head honcho for bullying lucifer off the platform. would duo with lute from time to time.

lute - she would play the game purely because of adam, and would become a carbon copy of him in terms of ragebaiting other players. it would become a fun pasttime for her, but she would also enjoy the fashion aspect of the game. her and adam would duo with the exact same outfits, and when adam refuses to put together something nice, she'd go solo and put together something on her own. she would hold a natural talent for the game, but she would lack the passion to play it often.

abel - i can picture abel going through phases of playing the game and then being bullied off the platform - by his own dad, no less. i can't see him playing it often, but when he would, he would genuinely enjoy the game. he would play for the love of the community, he would vote fairly, and even though his outfits wouldn't be too striking most of the time, he would get pretty high in the leaderboard. the children in heaven would be playing the game because of him.

vox constantly carries a multitude of equipment in case he feels the need to cause "unwanted accidents". a good example of this was when he took the breaks off of the train in season two, pulling out a pair of cable cutters. his history with staging accidents for his murders in life also add to this: a spinning wheel coming off its hinges and crushing a man, a showman getting electrocuted by one of the lights, a chef's stove going up in flames and burning her alive. a lot of this adds up to me believing vox carries a small arsenal of equipment... just in case.

but what could be be carrying, you might be asking? cable cutters are an obvious one. i also have a few more ideas. a pen that doubles as a small pocket knife on the other end, a flask of alcohol as something flammable as well as a lighter, a small hammer, a screwdriver. the list could go on. i also believe his outfits are designed with a lot of secret compartments and pockets to keep them all stored discreetly, courtesy of velvette.

it's safe to say that if vox did the "what's in my bag" trend, we'd all be left a little concerned... or be thinking he's a tradie.

[would alastor prefer to date a sinner more powerful than him?]

the short answer would probably be a massive no, but then again, i enjoy a good yap so i'll happily give you the longer one.

the main motivation as to why alastor made a deal with rosie in the first place was to ensure his position above others. all his life he was undermined, he was the victim of racism, he lived during the jim crow era where discrimination ran rampant and he was caught in the midst of it all. throughout his life, alastor was used to being at the bottom, being perceived as below other people - racist, white men being a good example, and a common example back then to put it mildly. he had to claw his way to the top in his line of work, and by the time he got there, i have no doubt he felt some degree of satisfaction, even though he was likely still receiving a hefty amount of racial abuse. i believe a lot of his fixations with strength and being on top stem from the darkest moments of his life, and i can understand why.

alastor lived his life being at the bottom, and when he found a way out of that in death, he took it without thinking twice. in death, he gained the dominance and autonomy that he lacked in life, and then some, he had little to no restraints holding him back [except for his deal with rosie of which he later escaped from] and for the first time, he was at the top of the food chain. he was given the title of hells strongest sinner as promised, and since then he's been riding that high one sadistic display after the other.

if his partner was somehow stronger than him, i don't think he'd like it. at all. it would deeply unsettle him and knock him off his balance. he prided himself on his power and he enjoyed being the threat rather than being the one threatened, so the concept of someone gaining more power than him in death would irk him immensely. they would have the capabilities to restrain him, hold him back, to make him do things against his will, and god forbid hurt him. i don't think he would chance something like that, if he were to even be involved with someone romantically at all, that is.

he would want a competent partner, sure. a weak, defenceless, meager thing wouldn't appeal to him. he'd want them to have a good head on their shoulders with just enough strength to survive the chaos of hell, but nothing more than just enough. he always has to be five steps ahead, he always has to have the assurance of being the strongest, no matter what. even if it is his partner, because you never really know, do you?

the short answer would probably be a massive no, but then again, i enjoy a good yap so i'll happily give you the longer one.

the main motivation as to why alastor made a deal with rosie in the first place was to ensure his position above others. all his life he was undermined, he was the victim of racism, he lived during the jim crow era where discrimination ran rampant and he was caught in the midst of it all. throughout his life, alastor was used to being at the bottom, being perceived as below other people - racist, white men being a good example, and a common example back then to put it mildly. he had to claw his way to the top in his line of work, and by the time he got there, i have no doubt he felt some degree of satisfaction, even though he was likely still receiving a hefty amount of racial abuse. i believe a lot of his fixations with strength and being on top stem from the darkest moments of his life, and i can understand why.

alastor lived his life being at the bottom, and when he found a way out of that in death, he took it without thinking twice. in death, he gained the dominance and autonomy that he lacked in life, and then some, he had little to no restraints holding him back [except for his deal with rosie of which he later escaped from] and for the first time, he was at the top of the food chain. he was given the title of hells strongest sinner as promised, and since then he's been riding that high one sadistic display after the other.

if his partner was somehow stronger than him, i don't think he'd like it. at all. it would deeply unsettle him and knock him off his balance. he prided himself on his power and he enjoyed being the threat rather than being the one threatened, so the concept of someone gaining more power than him in death would irk him immensely. they would have the capabilities to restrain him, hold him back, to make him do things against his will, and god forbid hurt him. i don't think he would chance something like that, if he were to even be involved with someone romantically at all, that is.

he would want a competent partner, sure. a weak, defenceless, meager thing wouldn't appeal to him. he'd want them to have a good head on their shoulders with just enough strength to survive the chaos of hell, but nothing more than just enough. he always has to be five steps ahead, he always has to have the assurance of being the strongest, no matter what. even if it is his partner, because you never really know, do you?

[my speculation on what sins the cast committed to get into hell.]

alastor - starting off with a relatively easy one given that we know his backstory, i believe that his main sins were a mix of wrath and gluttony. wrath, of course, was a partial motive behind his killings. he murdered upper-class, racist, white men who looked down on him and degraded him for his skin tone. naturally, this would've been something he experienced all throughout his life given the time period and place, and ultimately spiralled into something deadly. gluttony comes in as one of the other motivation for his killings - cannibalism. this is something that has been heavily implied throughout the series: rosie and cannibal town, licking blood from his finger, eating deer as a deer sinner, etc. on top of this, the indulgence of illegal [at the time] substances such as alcohol in speakeasies that was excessively consumed in that time period.

sir pentious - i think his sin was something much simpler in comparison to most on this list, which is sloth. he stood by and watched while a woman was murdered outside his house, and after the fact, he didn't speak of it to anyone despite knowing the identity of the killer. I think this is fairly cut and dry given the fact that he was redeemed by finally taking action, something he wouldn't have done in his life. I feel like some people would argue greed as another sin he committed, given the killer was a client of his, however i'd beg to differ. he strikes me as the type to enjoy his inventions for himself, rather than being solely motivated by profit. his client being the killer would have instilled fear in him given that they knew of each other, and i think that factored into why he never acted.

vox - i'm opting to get all the characters who's backstory we know in full out of the way, so with that being said, i believe that vox's main sins were envy, greed, and pride. envy would by far be the biggest sin on his list. he envied the positions of others above him in the industry, envied their reach and power and respect, and he killed them off one by one in order to claw his way to the top. his pride fits in rather nicely with this. he was motivated by the idea that he was more deserving of their roles, dressing in the exact way that they did and putting on a show that drew in more attention then they ever did. in his mind, he deserved the reach and the power, and so he took it for himself. greed would be another key factor in this. he craved the success, even if he moreso became motivated by power and influence towards the end. success was what started it all, and greed helped set the trajectory for his actions down the line.

angel dust - i believe that his sin would've been wrath and gluttony, possibly mixed with greed given his connections to the italian mafia. we know that he had murdered his dad, and so i believe his father would have pushed him to a mental breaking point in order to do so, something that would've been festering and growing throughout his youth and time in the mafia. his gluttony could connect to his substance abuse, as we know he died of an overdose and continued to take drugs in the afterlife, being shown with needles in niffty's song and bringing up the subject himself. and finally, something more speculatory, i think greed could possibly factor in as one of his sins due to his history with the mafia. we know he had underground connections towards the end of his life, again, given the drugs he abused, so i believe it wouldn't be a far fetch to speculate the benefits of working in a shady business like the mafia would have skewed his morals. pair this with the fact he jumped into a deal with val for fame, or so we can theorize given his notoriety, greed wouldn't be an impossibility.

husk - it's safe to say, given what we know of his character so far, that his sins would be a mix of greed and gluttony. this would all revolve around his gambling and excessive drinking. greed would mainly pertain towards the profits of gambling, the chase and reward of the game. it followed him even in death, to the point where he lost everything to alastor. gluttony would arguably be the heftiest of the two sins. the obvious reasoning for this would be his alcoholism, a habit he couldn't shake fully even when residing at the hotel as he returned to his old stomping grounds and drank excessively. the other explanation would be the adrenaline high he would chase from his gambling and recklessness, something just as addictive and something which he centred his entire presence in hell around as an overlord.

cherri bomb - we know little to nothing about her backstory, but i have reason to believe that her sin was wrath taken too far. a lot of people theorize that she was a protestor of sorts, someone who was passionate about the causes she cared about. i believe this is another instance of wrath turning deadly, which led her to turn to more violent measures in order to make a statement. bombs being a perfect example of this. nobody can be sure at this time what causes she backed given the vagueness surrounding her character, however if my theory stands, i can only guess that higher powers in society weren't budging to her cause, and violent measures were taken as a result. anarchism would be a good explanation, given her personality and punk aesthetic and many in her genre holding anarchistic views, but we're yet to get certain confirmation.

niffty - niffty is a really difficult one to pinpoint for both myself, and for many in the fandom. many theorize that niffty was lobotomised and/or shot, but whether her crazed personality was something that followed her from life or manifested in death is yet to be seen. i have a theory which leads me to believe her sin was wrath. i believe she had a lobotomy in her lifetime, due to an abusive husband or partner at the time, and the psychological effects of the procedure altered her personality, causing a lack of empathy and bolstering a motivation for revenge. she could have possibly killed her husband in a rage, and was therefore killed herself in a shootout by law enforcement as the crime was uncovered.

valentino - lust would be a very easy one to pinpoint valentino for, given how he acts in death, but i also believe greed could factor in. we know he's from florida, in which certain areas were dubbed as "sin cities" due to the ongoing issues with prostitution and organised crime. i personally don't believe he was a prostitute himself, but rather a pimp, referenced by his mug in hell, who ran an underground business soliciting sex work and other illegal goods. i personally think he was primarily driven by lust, and therefore died from aids, which was an ongoing crisis during that time. the theory for this is backed up by his poor eyesight and fixation on weight and being skinny, as well. greed could also be a possible player here, given organised crime ran rampant at the time and the theory of him soliciting illegal acts and goods. his greed for power, control, and illegal goods was likely something hard to satiate back in that time, and the fact he ended up in a powerful, influential position in hell really solidifies that for me.

velvette - the popular concensus is that she was a social media personality in life, and given the history with problematic figures online, i believe her sins would be greed and pride. greed would be the obvious one here, given how much money internet celebrities can be paid and how much free material they could get and events they could attend. it'd be difficult for many to not get wrapped up in it all, and velvette, in my opinion, fell hard and fast. pride would also come in here. she'd climb her way to the top, believing she was more deserving of fame and fortune than those already experiencing it. in her opinion, she was made for that life. and when she'd inevitably get into controversy, her pride would only flair more, digging herself into a deeper hole, slandering others both in the online space and out of it, and ultimately backing up her belief that she was made for this, and the "adversity" she was facing was merely a signature signing her right of passage into the influencer world.
