Kindergarten (1, 2, & 3) Race + Ethnicity Headcanons
Protag/Kid: Starting off strong, I headcanon Kid as black mostly because IM black and he’s the character I play as. In my fics I write him as coming from a Muslim or just religious in general household but he ends up being agnostic.
Nugget: That is a white southern boy if I’ve ever seen one. Lives on a farm, church every Sunday, gossiping with the bookclub, WHITE BREAD ass family. Really sweet tho despite their child’s… condition? Possession? Whatever’s going on with Nugget.
Lily + Billy: Asian and Russian. Idk I’ve just always pictured them as Russian and I’m pretty sure it’s widely accepted in the fandom that they are Asian too sooooo 🤷🏾♀️
Cindy: Also white, no surprises since I headcanon her and Nugget as cousins. But instead of a nice southern family, Cindy is more white trash, trailer park core.
Jerome: His name is literally Jerome and he’s the only dark-skin kid in the first game -_- that is a suburban black kid if I’ve ever seen one. And I’ve seen many, mostly cuz I was one.
Buggs: I also headcanon him and Jerome as cousins, so in my mind Buggs is half black and half Mexican/white (depending on what headcanon I’m using) with a black mom and white/mexican dad out of the picture.
Monty: White (though filipino/salvadoran monty is a headcanon that is very dear to my heart) I read a fic on wattpad where Monty was German and ever since then it’s called to me like the green goblin mask.
Felix/Ted: White and British, I’m pretty sure everyone has this headcanon.
Penny: ??? Pretty sure she’s White? But everyone before her mother on her family tree is completely unknown and she don’t have enough human DNA for a 23&Me breakdown.
Carla: The Afro-Latina Carla propaganda is spreading. After all these years I’m finally starting to see some accurate fanart and fics. I have her mom as Mexican and her dad as Dominican in all my fics and I want the propaganda to spread further.
Ozzy: White asf. Whiter than Nuggets family. He has Italian family in Jersey that he DREADS seeing every year for holidays.
Ron: Puerto Rican and definitely a No Sabo kid. It’s not like his family didn’t try to teach him, for some reason his brain just didn’t take to the language.
Madison: Korean and Chinese. I don’t have a lot of headcanons for Maddie, but whenever I have to look for a face claim for her I’m usually looking at Korean or Chinese woman.
Alice: White but with Greek/Pagan roots. Witch Alice is pretty much canon at this point.
Emmy: Black but specifically Haitian. And since I ALSO headcanon Danner as her father I GUESS I have to make him Haitian too! Awwww shucksssss!
Davey: Another southern white boy but this time from Louisiana, specifically New Orleans. Idk anytime I read a line from Principal David I just pictured him speaking in a VERY strong New Orleans accent that Kid didn’t understand.
Austin: That has been my Filipino king since the trailer. Idk why but this headcanon just spoke to me and now I can’t imagine him as anything but.
Kevin: …white ig?? I don’t know man. Subject to change incase we get more of him.
