Woke up from a nightmare like 15 minutes ago and was so worked up I had to turn on a lamp and scroll TikTok and I’m still freaked out a bit.

In the dream it was like interconnected nightmares with a thru line of them ending with some terrified and off putting woman breaking in wherever I was and just screamed and crying “I’m not a hyena I’m not a hyena I’m not a hyena” over and over rapidly and being super out of it and unsettling and scared but also scary and in all the nightmares as soon as I would start to get close to her (drawn close by some sort of sick pull) I would be like hell no I refuse to get close to whatever this is and then it would trigger the next nightmare and then she would end up appearing in it no matter what it was about. Like one was about tornadoes and one was about my family and one was about some non weather natural disaster and one was a different regular home intruder and each time the cycle would repeat but I never woke up, just started over in a new building nightmare until she burst in. The last time it happened and I was being drawn close it was like I finally realized that I was stuck in some loop or cycle and I literally thought “no way in hell am I doing this again I’m getting the fuck out of here” and I woke up irl and then like I said rushed to turn on a lamp and get my headphones and watch TikTok and I swear my heart is still beating fast but I’m calming down finally. Wtf

#I know the I’m a hyena part sounds ridiculous but the was she looked and broke into the nightmares and didn’t take like breaths and was #screaming and yelling it like in a trance or in a state of duress with no other awareness #just pure fear and adrenaline and repeating that #it was so fucking scary #on Tuesday I didn’t remember any dreams or nightmares but woke up with this deep and overpowering feeling of dread #that I’m still having trouble shaking off days later #now this? ugh #me #nightmare
