I concealed on person - not an easy feat, as they were crammed in my waistband making it hard to walk naturally. I went into H@IIm@rk afterwards and got a teddy bear for my baby (not shown - can’t find it now :/) but soon after I got worried the SA would notice the sandals were gone and I didn’t buy them, so I left the mall quickly.

Jcpsephor SO My method is to fill up my basket as I test things, grab 2 if I feel like it. Keep walking around untill i’m good. Interact with SA’s act like I know what I’m doing. Then I go to the displays facing away from sephora.

(You know how every display has two sides, well I go to the one facing outward and browse before my fiance will say “Didn’t you want to look at clothes?” And then I’m like OMG yes!!! And we quickly grab some stuff and go to the dressing room where I de-sequrity sticker (puffy barcode) and stick the sticker under the bench) I went to two jcp sephs in 2 diff malls (I was so exhausted by the second mall.) and if it is busy, they usually don’t mind you opeming bottom drawers to look for stock not displayed. (This works well if they are oit of a specific thing you want pallet wise and you look underneath. That’s how I got the too faced teddy bear brushies!)

Don’t wanna test something small, remark to your partner that you’re almost out and need to restock up! :)

Lifter Alert: You Are Being Tracked

I just read some articles on some new technology some stores are using to track people in their store and across entire malls. I could get into technicalities, but the baseline of it is that stores are using your phone’s wifi pings to get information about your searches, personal info, and most alarmingly, an address specific to your phone. This system is not only able to accurately track where you are in the store live, but is also able to tell if you’ve visted the store before, how often, how long ago, and which areas you’ve visited most often.

This system of tracking is not only an exposure of privacy for shoppers, but also dangerous for lifters. The solution most people reccommend in response is to completely disable wifi, though I would personally take it safe and just turn on airplane mode while I lift. The idea of being so precisely tracked is scary, and luckily only a few stores, mostly high end like Marks and Spencers, but also casual places like Topshop have this tracking system so far.

THIS LADIES AND GENTS is LP at target if you have never seen them… i have another video but tumblr won’t allow me to add both to one post. ANYWAYS STORY TIME

while entering the store- i just got back from going to target with my mom and sister to grab candy. as soon as we walked in i saw a plain clothes man crouched behind the chip and easter candy display at the front of the store with his body facing me and starbucks. we looked at each other briefly and i assumed he was a dad about to scare his kid, BUT THEN i see a walkie talkie clipped on him and i was immediately smacked with the realization that he’s LP (and it scared me because i had my mags and hook on me but then i remembered they don’t have mag detectors). so as we walk near the cosmetics and pads i told my mom what was going on and she was very intrigued (she’s extremely against any illegal acts especially shoplifting) so we stayed near the front of the store so she could watch what happened. i spotted another LP officer ‘looking at nuts’ (in the next video i post) and then this one looking at shit in the cosmetics aisle.

now onto the family- they were a mexican family of four. one mom one son and an older and younger daughter. when i entered the store they were in the starbucks with their cart with their items that they have not paid for yet. while that wouldn’t be too suspicious, it was paired with the fact that they had high end items in their cart that they may or may not have looked like they couldn’t really pay for (not necessarily my opinion, but LP’s obviously). after they got their starbucks they ended up shopping in the front grocery aisles by the starbucks and produce section. in the video i got you can hear these dings over the intercom. i’m not sure what it means but i’m sure it had something to do with the family because about 3-5 more LP officers came out of ‘casually shopping’ and started ducking behind more aisles.

sadly this is where the story ends. we were beginning to get sussed as well because my mom wanted to linger around the LP officers and the mexican family, and we are mexican ourselves so that most likely did not help our case. as we left there were officers watching out the starbucks and target cafeteria areas.

the whole vibe around the target was extremely strange. at one point i was hanging around the tampons with my mom and sister trying to get a video of a man by the nuts (again, ill post that next) and wife and husband with a cart passed me while i was staring at the LP man and he looked at me and said ‘hey i didn’t give my permission to be recorded’ (in a nice kind-of-jokingly manner) because my phone was resting on my face with the camera pointed to the LP officer (i wasn’t actually recording). i laughed it off and told him i wasn’t recording and he replied with a laugh and went on his way. i was still in the aisle when the same man comes back with his wife (AND HIS CART) and looks at me again and said ‘they’re not very inconspicuous are they?’ and i actually looked at him this time and he was dressed in all black and had an ear piece and a walkie talkie, along with his wife. and obviously he was circling the mexican family as well as the other officers. so i’m not sure if they were LP as well or just a weird couple that talks by ear pieces and wallow talkies… but i think target is upping their LP game by making them look EVEN MORE like regular shoppers.

alright last thing i want to say is that this is not how every target is, but you should act like it! i’m visiting another state right now, so i’m not familiar with these targets here. my friend who works at the target in my hometown has confirmed that there are only TWO LP at mine and rarely are the cameras watched. so just remember to be safe, don’t stand out or do weird out-of-order things like this family, and act like everyone is an lp officer.

Social anxiety and mental health issues suck when you’re a lifter. You can plan something, hype yourself up, and then you wake up the next morning and you feel too on-edge or lousy to do anything, and there goes your whole plan. (Even if I’d wanted to, which would have probably been a terrible idea, I still just couldn’t.) Lifting has often been a kickstarter for me to get up and out and put on normal and functional, so when it doesn’t actually happen, it’s like seeing a coping mechanism glitch, and it really sucks.

story time

lifting drinks from teávàná is probably totally possible and we did it on accident one day and here’s how

other bae and i went to the mall on a saturday when apparently all the tour groups on their way to disney felt like stopping at our mall??? idk they all had those lanyards that looked like backstage passes but had disney on it idk but needless to say it was fucking busy

so miss manager lady wanted to make sure to get our order in for he drinks and im standing there with my credit card in hand outstretched to give it to her and she gives the order to the barista and doesn’t acknowledge me so we get our drinks and left without paying five bucks a drink lmao

i only say this because it also almost happened when it was basically dead yesterday

the main cashier was in the back it was just the barista so i told her my order and when the cashier came back we were talking and I almost didn’t have to pay but as I was handed my drink the barista is like “alright go ahead and pay at the counter if ur ready” and the cashier is like “o have you paid?” and she was cute and always talks to me when I go in so I paid but I totally could have gotten away with it

Excuse this personal post but

I am so stressed out y'all. I have two jobs and I’m taking 12 hours this semester. I have only one day off this week and it’s going to be filled with homework. I’m just worried saving up to go away for school is going to wear me down to the point where I don’t want to do it anymore. It’ll be worth it once I have my degree but I am S T R E S S I N G. How do you all de-stress? I think I’m going to lift some candles and bath stuff the next time I’m out so I could maybe watch Netflix in a dimly lit bathroom while I soak lol. All of the candles and wax melts I had before fell off my dads truck when we moved last summer and I haven’t been able to get any since. I need some tips on lifting candles and stuff because I’ve never done it and my B@th & B0dy is really heavily staffed and there are too many cameras.

If you dont feel comfortable you can always try Yankee candle, it has zero to only a couple of cameras and they dont have high security. Also to not have the glass clink, you can bring some stuffing to cushion them and also prevent them from breaking. Some ways i destress is take a long warm bath, it soothes headaches and will also get you clean (some bath bombs or bars for extra fumes like lavender will lower stress). I also light incense while im working to keep my stress level bearable. You can make it through this semester hun~ may your stress be at a minimal

Would there be anywhere nearby that you can get an oil burner and oils from? While it’s not candles, you can use cheap tea lights in the base and you still get the benefits of the soft glowy light and the essential oils. Essential oils might be easier to lift, too, since they’re so small.
