This is it It’s the time that you wake up It’s the coffee that you drink It’s the dog that you greet It’s the teeth that you brush It’s the outfit that you wear And it’s the first cold breeze after leaving the home This is it It’s the car you get into It’s the sun’s morning rays seeping in It’s your eyes narrowing to see the road It’s your yawns and your sneezes It’s the trees that you pass by, or that pass you It’s the thoughts that you experience while driving This is it It’s the ocean waves you observe It’s the sand underneath your butt It’s the your dog galloping in the water It’s other people strolling along the beach It’s the sun gleaming high upon the sky It’s the sandwich you eat and savor This is it It’s the coffee that is slightly sipped It’s the journal that is being written in It’s the cigarette burning between your fingers It’s the faint collection of conversation in the cafe It’s the cool mid-morning temperature This is it It’s the night sky’s stars that are hidden with light pollution It’s the dark ale that is filled to the brim of a glass It’s the clunking of pool balls and the roars of laughter inside the bar It’s the man you keep looking at because he’s attractive to you It’s the drunken confidence that makes you approach him This is it It’s even in the most “mundane” that life’s wonder emerges It’s the mere fact that experience is a thing It’s the peculiar feeling of there being something rather than nothing It’s the struggles and the comfort The pleasure and the pain This is it This is the entirety of existence And you’re a part of it This is it.

HOW TO MAKE FRIENDS
pretend you have them; they will sprout like wild flowers in your shade and sip from straws the yellow light that shoots like gun fire out from behind your eyes
There comes a time when you know something’s got to change. If no matter how hard you try, negativity welcomes you on most days, then something’s got to change. Reflect truly on your priorities; what matters the most to you, whether it’s friends, family, kindness, self-compassion or God. If there are people who break your heart continuously, trying to weigh you down, cut ties with them. As difficult as it is, emotionally distance yourself away from them and work on a better you. Be with people who support you and lift you up instead of constantly bringing you down. When your confidence is low, hold your head up high. If it’s a negative way of thinking, reflect on how it’s affecting you and as hard as it is, be gentle on yourself. Better yourself by nurturing compassion towards others, including yourself. Don’t focus so much on the idea of success or grades and instead, focus on learning, acquiring knowledge and personal growth. If you feel like you’re not progressing forward, stuck in a negative state of mind, ask for advice and help from people you can trust and rely on. Most of all, never forget your morals and values, compassion, kindness and your heart. All this is not easy as it requires a lot of courage and faith but it is worth it. Because one small positive change can significantly change your whole life for the better.

171,476. That’s how many words there are in the English language. And I could piece together the most prestige ones and throw them into beautiful metaphors. And it still wouldn’t make you want me.

I still make you nervous your face turns red and I can hear your heart saying you still love her but you won’t act on this you will push it so far down we will both marry other people and we will be another ‘what if’ through time and space

tell me that change isn’t sad. tell me that even when you leave for something better, a part of you doesn’t ache. because i could be pulled from the depths of hell, embraced by angels wings and pillowy clouds, and a part of me would still break, a part of me would still wonder what hell felt like without me in it. i am the woman who can’t handle any change. i am the woman who is afraid that every ‘it’s about to get better’ is a facade. and if i had it my way, i would still be a small atom floating perpetually through one galaxy never to know change, never to need it.
