I've had people look at my kin blogs and asks and go "all you ever talk about is these lives, all you ever talk about is how you miss the people there. You need to focus on the now because focusing on wanting to go back isnt going to get you anywhere" and it's like??? Wait- I feel as though you are WILDLY misinterpreting the very purpose of these kinblogs. I post there and send asks when I'm in a deep or emotional kin shift, and that's how I express those emotions so I can go about my day?? Yes, I'm aware I can't go back, but sometimes I want to in the same way I want to be a child again who couldn't comprehend the scary shit around them. It's just an emotion lmao, and I'll continue to use my kin-dedicated spaces to vent those emotions. That doesn't mean I'm ignoring this life and the issues that need facing. It just means I'm talking about how I'm feeling. Did you know that I still function perfectly at work? I pay my bills? I happily interact with my family and loved ones? What you see on a kin blog or even an anonymous ask isn't someone's entire life. Yeah, some people will get lost in their memories and it's hard to get out, but that's not the case for the majority of -kin lol.

Jeez venting about this here because I ✨ do not ✨ want to fill my blog with bad vibes nor directly acknowledge hateful anons but like. Imagine being someone that walks up to a complete stranger and goes "Uhm- I'm seeing this kin blog of yours and the amount of times you talk about certain emotions, plus these 2 times you talked about wanting to go back is like. Really an issue... Myeahh. Cuz like you need to focus on now. Yeah." Like wow. Kin Karen was not on my 2024 bingo card but it DEFINITELY wasn't on my January bingo card.
