A: because 99% of the folks who look at my blog only see the pictures OH! maybe the fact that my final entry got removed at the request of the "copyright holder"
(which makes no sense to me, because I thought my final entry was something I wrote, but it's been so many months since that went up I could be mistaken)
So. Since I am most definitely writing this myself, it should stay put, because there is no "copyright holder" who could ask for this to be taken down. Since, well, if anyone holds a copyright to this message, that would be me.
Apparently, I need to say a couple of things. Heh, before I even start writing the first, 3 bullet points pop into my head, so maybe "a couple" should not be taken too literally, or precisely...
1. Yes, I do miss my blog. I miss the whole process, of loading a bowl, removing whatever barrier might be between my hand and my fuckmeaT, then taking a look at a mixture of my most recent followers and the blogs I followed which seemed to be the most reliable sources of a few specific varieties of smut. I found stuff that resonated with me, or made my loins tingle and/or leak precum, and that would go into my posting queue. I was (usually) very careful not to post the same kind of material consecutively, and tried to leave somewhere around 3-4 hours between postings, so as not to overwhelm anyone's feed, or bore anyone (or appear to suggest that I was focused on only one kink).
Because I had no shortage of followers with delightfully filthy minds, the resulting blog was fucking awesome. But...
2. There is no way I could summon the effort to get this blog going again (ie with new content). I didn't realize just how much of my life this blog ate on a weekly basis until I stopped updating, and boy howdy! it was a substantial amount of time, effort, and creative energy that went into finding, arranging, and queueing (sp?) all of that material, setting it up to release about 6-7 entries a day.
Even if I did have the time and energy to resume updating my blog, it won't happen because
3. Tumblr still won't let me do it. That is, they're still maintaining that silly, and infuriating, "no porn allowed" policy. Silly, because it's based on shame, on fear of anything pleasurable, on the assumption that nekkid bodies are somehow Bad and Wrong and the sight of them will do irreperable harm to any child who might happen upon them, because JESUS! (and this is me, resisting the temptation to go off on a rant, about pleasure and sin, and at least a half dozen other topics which would irritate a good number of people claiming to follow the teachings of the aforementioned Jesus).
Infuriating because... yeah, not enough spaces where I don't have to assume some stranger's kid is reading over my shoulder. Tumblr used to have such a space kind of walled off, with reasonable barriers to keep out the kids. Until someone (cough APPLE cough) decided that Tumblr needed to be bullied into removing any content that...
well, that might fit into my blog, might be the easiest way to say it.
4. I have not found a suitable replacement to host, and possibly continue, my blog. I am like 78.2% certain that such a service and/or site exists, but see item #2. Also, finding the content to put said blog together, without the sources I used to enjoy (because they can't exist in the same way either, on Tumblr, and reblogging such content that hasn't been removed only risks drawing attention to it, putting my blog and the originating blog in danger of being shut down), and then connecting that content to an audience, composed mostly of my old followers plus like minded souls?
That's even more work than the original blog.
So, while I am flattered and amazed that there is a steady stream of new followers of my blog (and I bet some of them are actual human beings, not bots!), I must also, sadly, make the announcement, for those who missed it the first time many months ago, that there will be no new content added here. Also, there is this annoying little bug in the Tumblr platform, where if you don't check your messages in a timely manner** then you might see a little number indicating that you have new messages, but "new" just means "new to you, because you never got around to looking" and not new in any universally accepted sense.
POINT BEING, if you've sent me a private message, and I never replied to it, then odds are excellent that I never saw it. You should try re-sending it, if it was important to you that I see it. You can also try to EMAIL YOUR MESSAGE TO ME (that was a link, making it easy to email me, in case you didn't notice) if you prefer not to gamble that I'll check my messages in here within the right time frame after you've sent your message for me to see it.
If you are one of my recent† new followers, and you have feedback on the content you can still see (that Tumblr hasn't removed, for one reason or another), or I appear to be a like-minded person to you, based on same content, then emailing is, again, probably the best option for connecting with me.
Okay, so now that really and truly is that, the end, finito, cue the Fat Lady, no mo' no mo' no mo' for real real.
** now you don't think that "timely manner" got defined somewhere easy to find and reference, do you? where's the fun in that, huh? I'm gonna guess somewhere between 15 days and 5 weeks, a range I just now pulled out of my ass.
† from my perspective, that means you added me at any point in the last several years, since I stopped updating way back in December 2018(?).
