no clues what i'll use this blog for.

i have a lsf ( french sign language ) ressource blog @learningfsl ( inactive).

i write x reader on @laroserie / @timwhore ( and i sometime write some others stuff on @deadboyrei ) and i write canonxcanon on ao3 ( feel free to ask for the username ).

about me : hi, you can call me Floppie, or Théo. 2007. he / him. i speak french and english, uni student. as said before i am learning lsf on and off. i have a few basis in spanish/polish/hebrew but please just stick to either french or english when talking with me. (in addition i am dyslexic and english is my second language)

i am in many fandoms and a big multishipper. my current biggest fandoms are the pitt, criminal minds, the scum villain self saving system and the husky and his black cat shizun.

no dni i just block tags and accounts i don't like. if i blocked you don't take it personally. ( but i mostly block people that are bigots, read : being racist, antisemitic, transphobic or homophobic so .. ) my general politic compass is : leftist (not american leftism though) which include believing in/striving for equality and peace.

i'd rather not get /too/ political on here ( i am involved politically on others social medias and irl so i want to have a space somewhat free of it for my mental health )

i am a firm FIRM believer in omega!robby that man cannot be an alpha, he is an omega through and through, an omega that had to fight to be an attending, that had to fight to be where he is, to be respected as he is.

omega!robby who has to be strong and put his secondary gender to the back of his mind, because in the ED it does not matter if you are an omega, a beta or an alpha, what matters is if you can do your job and save lifes.

omega!robby who hadn't had his heats for a good few years, he takes an egregious amount of heat suppressants - omega!robby who knows it's not good for him but he cannot take days off to deal with his heats, he hates the idea of it. he cannot sleep with the tv on - he can't handle having to cope with his thoughts while in heat.

omega!robby who is so out of touch with his 'omega instincts'. he doesn't nest. he doesn't purr. he doesn't use his pheromones. he feels them. there are there. but he doesn't indulge in them. he doesn't act on them - he doesn't need to, he doesn't want to.

omega!robby who gets so defensive of the others omegas in the ED. he also get dismissive of them too (projection and what not).

omega!robby who solely start to get in touch with them for dennis. omega!robby who feels how disappointed his partner is when robby doesn't use his clothes to nest, doesn't purr around him, doesn't try to scent him - and the disappointment hurts him more than indulging in his instincts so he does

omega!robby who doesn't know what to say when dennis ask when his heat is, so he can take a few days off to help him with it. he just stares before laughing a bit, his laugh is bitter. he shakes his head "there is no need for that" he says. dennis frown "michael ... i can, no i want to". )

summary of my omegaverse au hucklerabbot fic because im nearly done with chapter 1 :

Dennis Whitaker didn't know the signs of courting - truth be told he didn't care about courting. He didn't have to. He was a beta, life was easy. Until he wasn't one anymore, and then life got harder. He now had to navigate between ruts, nesting, scenting and a surprisingly large amount of untold social rules. He also now had to deal with being courted by his attending and his husband.

Or Dennis Whitaker is a late bloomer, who in addition to hardly believing he's being courted by Michael and Jack, doesn't know how to court them back.

(yes i am working on this fic while still working on my langtaker fic. i do also have an oliveberry rotting away in my draft too ..)

also if anyone could like to beta read ... hit me up lol (and if anyone has tips on how to choose/create a title because uhh the current title is 'Finding Solace in your Arms' but it feels mid)

now that i've accepted that yes, sometime people will disagree with me and it's okay, i shouldn't brother or tire myself to try to make them see my point of view.

you've heard about dennis with diabetes, with epilepsy but what about dennis with tics or tourette's

dennis who has to explain that it doesn't inhibit his abilities to work in an hospital or the er, but that yes it can eventually cause some issues - but that said issues can be deal with

dennis who has to explain that his weird twitches are just tics to his colleagues

dennis whose vocal tics are anything between a random internet meme and medical jargon

dennis who has to explain that no his tics won't cause him to hurt a patient or worst kill one during an operation - that tics do infact decrease in frequency when he's focused and that he is focused during operation

dennis who has to explain that no he is not a 'tweaker', his tics aren't from doing drugs, that it's just a neurological disorder, that it's just his brain sending false alarm

dennis who dissociate for most of his shift the first time he get yelled at for being a 'druggie' by a patient after having a pretty noticeable motor tic in front of them

dennis who get teased by trinity for some of his vocal tics (because how could she not) (she did ask at the start of their friendship if it was okay or not because she is not /that/ mean and she knows when to not do it)

dennis who just feel utterly exhausted when he gets home and just tics so much because he repressed his tics so much all shift

dennis who gets a tic attack during his shift and who feels like shit because of it (and who maybe get comforted by an older co-worker of his)

dennis who felt ashamed of his tics through his childhood because his brothers kept making fun of him for them even when he told them he didn't like it

question for people that know hebrew / are learning it

at what point does it become natural/ a reflex to write from right to left ?

i've had hebrew class for 12 weeks ( each class was 2h ) and now im more or less trying to learn on my own (because the class in uni ended) but i still can't get used to writing from r to l :< maybe it's just bcuz my ass is too dyslexic and don't practice writing on paper enough

if you're dyslexic that's gonna be a big influence and I'd go looking for dyslexic language learning forums / resources. If you're worried about antisemitism pretend you're learning Arabic.

I grew up mostly in the USA but started learning Hebrew from age zero. I straggled behind my peers for years. I only got really competent in fifth grade. so... if you can sort things out in less than twelve years you're doing better than me

can't believe i didn't think about that, tbh didn't even know that it's a thing (but in hindsight it makes sense that there are language learning forums and ressources for dyslexic lol)

while im on talking about me learning hebrew i need to talk about the way people react when i tell them that i am learning it.

i got stared down by a group of my classmates first week while we were doing some type of icebreaker (for information everyone in my degree has to take a language class - i choose hebrew but they are like 10+ languages to choose from), they stared at me like i was a criminal and were like 'okay anyway!' and then didn't address me for the rest of the icebreaker.

and more recently in a class about second language acquisition we had to talk with others and talk about the language we spoke, were learning, heard around us ect ... and so i said again that i was learning hebrew and the two person i was grouped with just started laughing ? and were like 'okay okay' and one told me while laughing that she 'supported my endeavour'. which i can't tell if she was genuine or not (i'm not great at deciphering tone)

thankfully there are people that are normal and are like 'oh cool can you something in it?' or just are like 'oh isn't it hard ?', and are just curious or like don't give a fuck (which is fair) but like those weird (rare-ish) occurrence are just so ass it makes me sad (obviously i know they stem from people being ignorant and like. antisemitism but it's still makes me sad)

question to those who develop with ren'py;

i plan to make a vn at some point, possibly using ren'py but i havent decided yet. is there any way to make a game made in the engine readable with a screen reader?

hi i'm not fully sure of it but i did a play a few games that were made with ren'py and had an option to have to text read out by a mechanic voice ( so it was somewhat resembling a screen reader - i have no clues how to do it tho ) that said i never saw one that could be read with a screen reader exterior of the game

first time using Ren'Py, made a 5min vn with no choices in 30 min && used a pricrew for the 'sprites' (  hyperlink here for it ) because i didn't feel like drawing , honestly it was fun even tho i'm not sure i understood everthing i was doing, also important note is i had to use my notes app ? nothings else worked so yeah ...
