#I can’t wait to talk to my therapist about this!!#cause I’ve always had suspicions on either adhd or autism #cause with adhd I fit all of the criteria and I had a psychiatrist give me Ritalin cause she said that that would help me with my symptoms #and Ritalin was the best med I took #and maybe autism cause I also fit a lot of the criteria plus all my friends with autism say I probably have it #but now there’s a new bombshell who’s entered the villa: bipolar disorder #I don’t think I have it but it runs in my family #and I was talking to my friend who has it and we have a lot of similarities with the things we struggle with #and I know that a diagnosis isn’t gonna cure me obviously #(I say this cause whenever I bring this up to my psychiatrist or my old therapist they make it seem like a diagnosis won’t do anything????)#but also it would be nice to have that closure of if I do or don’t have it #Like if I had a stomachache I COULD take Tylenol or something and hope it helps #but knowing what’s actually wrong helps guild you in how to get better #idk I hate not knowing what’s up with my brain #and I hate when psychiatrists are like ‘you don’t need a diagnosis you just need to talk to your therapist’#anyways I feel like it can’t hurt to get tested #lmao sorry for the rant
