Character bio:

"Forged during the Age of Wrath as a mere construction worker, Boulder understands life's hardships more than anyone. Having faced insurmountable losses alongside the radical changes of Cybertron's governance, it's a wonder how he remains so optimistic and kind above all else. Boulder is the team mediator, he is the glue that holds them together. Always looking to solve any conflicts, always lending a hand, always being there for you when you're at your worst. His compassion is highly appreciated by those who know him.

Rags to riches, Boulder started out at the bottom, a Disposable labourer in construction. Slowly, over years, he climbed up in his career stealthily. Eventually, he landed himself a position as high as site supervisor; sometimes even assisting in other related fields such as architectural design. A massive change came when his friend Heatwave asked him to join him in the Rescue Bots ranks. It took a lot of back and forth arguing before Boulder was convinced. Then only after an arduous process of fighting with the higher-ups Boulder was finally integrated into the Rescue Bot ranks. Now stationed in Iacon, Boulder had to leave his home in Kaon permanently.

Another unexpected change in his life came on Earth. Boulder adapted into his new home quickly, he's in love with the planet in all its beauty. It's flora and fauna fascinates him to no end. Especially the people of it, he has a friendship with Graham Burns who sort of look up to him as a mentor. Unfortunately, his teammates aren't as quick to adapt to such a drastic change. They're not as used to it as he is. Oftentimes he finds himself sitting besides Heatwave's recharge slab and offering words of comfort. And for all his fondness for Earth he still misses certain aspects of his life on Cybertron, notably his teammate Nightflight. The Rescue Bots that weren't aboard Sigma-17 lay heavy on his mind."

Absolutely fell in love with this character!!!

They are a community of hive-mind tardigrades that move through water! Allowing them to shapeshift boundlessly! They enter people's heads to give them infinite dreams while the individual tardigrades feed off the brain's energy!

They later understand people would prefer not to be in permament slumber until they die, and they genuinely look into themselves, they thought by giving people their ideal fantasies they were doing good, but they listen and choose to do better! What!!!

Suuuuch an insane scifi concept paired with kindness and willingness to become a better person! Top 5 characters of all time for me!

I’m here to ACTUALLY DEFEND THE GREAT SCARRIER REEF DOLL LINE!

(No we’re not talking about the movie [I personally liked it], this is about the dolls)

The majority of the fandom despises this line and while I can see some cons, there’s so many pros about these dolls too

First off,

Frankie-

Imo she looks the worst out of the lineup, and Frankie is literally my favorite character so this hurts to say 😭 honestly I love the concept of her being an electric eel, but otherwise, she’s a bit bland. I love her custom arm molds though. One thing I hate for sure is that all the characters in this line have ponytails 💀 (excluding the “new” movie introduced characters). Anyways 3/10

Draculaura-

Draculaura looks adorable in this line and you can’t convince me otherwise. I think her saving grace is that they kept her bangs. I don’t mind the yellow on her, either. She’s honestly so cute and I like her, she’s simple but the squid tail is so cool. She’s definitely not the best Drac has ever been though lol. 7/10

Clawdeen-

I assume they made her dark purple instead of brown because brown isn’t a very fish-y color? Idk 💀 the purple works with the rest of the doll but keeping her brown would’ve been fine anyway imo. Anyways, on to the other parts of the doll, her tail is the worst in this line, but her outfit and accessories are honestly good imo. I like how it looks, and I also like her custom arm mold. Basically I don’t vibe with the purple or the lame ponytail ngl. 4/10

Lagoona-

She’s gore-geous! Idk how literally anyone could hate her 😭 her colors? Her tail? Her accessories? She’s so pretty! Also her actual hair is great, even if it’s also in a plain ponytail. Idk I love GSR Lagoona so much. Her back fins are so cool too. She gets a 9/10

Toralei-

She also looks great! I think her and Lagoona are tied for my favorite spot, specifically regarding the main ghouls, so not including Kala, Posea or Peri & Pearl. Toralei is just very harmonious with this doll, her tail is great, i love her outfit, and her back fins are great. Plus her face card never declines tbh. I do wish they added a hint of blue/teal to her though (like her Freaky Field Trip doll). She’s a 9/10

On to the movie introduced characters!

Kala-

She literally has four arms. That’s wicked and I refuse to be told otherwise, I love the monster aspect of this doll (her hands even have mini suction cups on them!). I like her a lot, although her outfit is a bit plain, I think it still works. Her tentacles and color scheme are really cool too, I never see anyone talk about Kala’s doll but she’s amazing! 9/10

Peri & Pearl-

They look actually stunning. First of all, THEY’RE A TWO HEADED DOLL. FROM A PLAYLINE. WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT THAT ENOUGH 😭 Peri & Pearl’s doll still amazes me to this day. Moving on, both of their face molds and cards? Gorg. Their outfit? Also gorg. Their tail? Literally just gore-geous idk what else to say 😭 Peri & Pearl’s design is literally peak. 10/10

Posea-

She has my favorite face mold out of all the dolls mh has ever made! Also small detail but Posea’s ears are literally shaped like coral, which is amazing. And the dot details on her arms? Her kelp tentacles? I love her doll so much. I hope she gets a skullector one day. Anyways, her outfit is pretty, her hair shade is awesome, and overall, she’s a 10/10 for me (and my favorite from the movie introduced characters)

So basically at the end of the day, the Great Scarrier Reef line isn’t all that bad! There were a couple flops but so many of these dolls are really creative and pretty that I think it makes up for it
