Several weekends of work and a couple of burned fingertips later, my 35 Portland Row bookend is finished. 🥳

Made of mostly styrofoam, cardboard, acrylic paint, and copious amounts of hot glue.

It lights up and is a little higher than the height of an A3 piece of paper.

You know the scene in Mesmerized when Lucy finds the exit from the Winkman's blackmarket auction? She actually pauses by the gate for a second, and there isn't a lot of music happening, and the warm orange light from the streets floods her face, and she looks super relieved (until she turns to Lockwood). I never noticed how long that moment actually is as a plot beat. It's as if everything freezes when she looks towards the light. And idk, but something-something about Eurydice? Something about Resurrection? Something about hope?
