#BlackWomenAtWork uncovers the everyday struggles black women face at work

Black women are fed up with the way they are treated in the workplace so they are sharing their experiences on Twitter. Activist Brittany Packnett kicked off the hashtag #BlackWomenAtWork in response to the disrespectful ways in which two prominent black women were treated by public figures throughout the day. 

As a way to help address these issues, Packnett encouraged black women online to share some of their real-life experiences at work.  

“I wanted the hashtag to make the invisible visible, to challenge non-black people to stand with black women not just when this happens on television, but in the cube right next to them,” she said. “I’m also glad stories of triumph and achievement got shared through the hashtag as well ― black women are more than just our woes, we are triumphant.”

Voodoo Mama’s Spellbook: Bye Bye Hex

An old spell to rid yourself of any powerful hex that is placed upon you. I have altered it over the years to fit exactly the purpose that I want. This version is very strong and WILL break any curse that is on you no matter how sticky the situation is. 

*This spell is influenced by voodoo and hoodoo but can be used by anyone*

Ingredients: 

Dirt from a forest 

The feather of a Raven 

Black salt or pepper

Myrrh

Hair from a white or black cat with no spots 

Mustard Seeds 

A black candle 

Directions: 

In a container, combine the feather, salt, myrrh, hair, and seeds. 

Cover them with the dirt and push down so that they are tightly packed. 

Place your candle in the dirt as if it were a candle holder. 

Light the candle. 

Raise your hands and envision the curse being lifted. You may add any protective chants here or contact any deities that you work with. 

Only if you practice voodoo, recite Psalm 70. 

Now speak directly to the negative energy. Demand that it go away, walk it to the door if you need to. 

Allow the candle to burn out and this dispose of appropriately.

I wish her all the best, and I’m very proud of her! It always makes me so happy when I see my black queens doing their best especially in a White male dominated sport! Hope and pray she has a successful career! I love that she wants to be a positive role model to the younger generation. She is a prime example of a black woman with integrity and didn’t have to sexualise herself to gain success.
