The Orochimaru redemption arc(?) is insane. You’re telling me this man got woken up from the dead by his former student slash boytoy and told “hey get up we’re going to harass the former presidents at great personal annoyance to you” and for literally no other reason than just as a favor to Sasuke he .. does it???

When Tobirama tries to get out of answering Sasuke’s questions it’s OROCHIMARU who stands up for him??? He’s like “hey I control your reanimation and I say nobody moves until you answer for what you’ve done to this kid” which. Is crazy. After all this time the person who finally fucking listens to him and takes his pain seriously and forces the powers that be to answer for what they’ve done is OROCHIMARU????

And THEN. When Sasuke decides to save the leaf, and the 3rd Hokage asks why Orochimaru is helping Sasuke with this now when previously he wanted to destroy Konoha, this ABSOLUTE LEGEND straight up says “¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk either man. I’m genuinely just here for a laff” OK KING!!

Rewatching Naruto made me see how funny Orchimaru's ending is. He's not really forgiven but they pretty much figured out that trying to kill him and make him stay dead is more trouble than it's worth so they just let him wander around the village if he doesn't do anything too blatantly evil. He goes to Naruto's wedding and is part of the PTA. This is a man who has killed 2 different heads of state.

I like how in Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, Orochimaru sounds like a proud teacher just testing Naruto. Is not like he is fighting seriously at all.

what if, instead of getting married, your parent simply had a partner? would that be weird? would you think of that person as being like a step-parent after a long enough time?

A second parent? Like if my parent got married? Can you picture my parent getting married? Me neither! Besides, no one else cloned me and Mitsuki…except possibly Suigetsu and Karin. And maybe Juugo. But still.

Mitsuki adopted a cat (pretty much). Have you ever thought about adopting an animal? Maybe a cat or dog? Or do you have a snake as a pet?

I have my phone snake. But I think I’d like a dog…a medium sized, loyal dog. That would be nice. It’d get me outside more, too.

He only comes up here to the habitable floors of the main hideout when he's procrastinated so hard on all his lab tasks that he winds up spending the entire day and night here. It's not like Orochimaru ever seemed to notice—or, even if they had, it didn't seem like they cared.

Crossing the main living area toward the converted kitchen (which always boasted a much nicer assortment of teas than what he and the others had to choose from in their own quarters' galley across the skywalk), Suigetsu immediately casts his gaze over toward the only window-lined wall overlooking the cliffs where he finds Log on the sofa.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Oi, you feeling okay?" Suigetsu asks, diverting himself toward the sitting room instead, even pressing the back of his hand to Log's forehead. He prods at Log as though he were teasing, not realizing just how much his tone betrays tepid concern. "Haven't seen you in a while."

Log smiles, sensing Suigetsu’s concern for him despite the teasing tone. The clone’s forehead is not warm, but he is a little pale.

“Yeah,” Log answers. “I was going to work in the lab, but I got tired.” He makes no move to get up from the couch. “Guess I’m still getting over the transplant thing. I get tired easily these days.”

He looks out the wall of windows. It feels as though the couch is floating among the cliffs outside. The more Log stares at the landscape, the more details he finds among the rock formations. “It’s pretty,” he remarks to Suigetsu.
