“Well, an entertainer doesn’t show off his tricks if he doesn’t make the people interested in seeing it first,” he points out. Compress now knew that the individual wanted to hear more. Regardless of whether actually interested or simply trying to weigh the options, that was left up to the mind of Shouta Aizawa.

“A future that appeals to all those who join it. The end of the shoddy idea of heroism today, a redefining of justice and peace in our case. I’m mainly recruited for the planning so I have to be careful with what I reveal, don’t I?” He pauses for a soft laugh at his own banter before continuing. 

“If you haven’t seen our works before, surely you’ve heard about several attacks within this city alone. Mass destruction, politicians meeting their unfortunate end, heroes struck down from their positions and can no longer fight, an attempt towards youngsters who’s minds were pilfered by the thoughts of heroes to see another pathway in life,” Compress starts to say, “we shake the civilians’ faith in this way. Have anarchy and the likes rise for a brief period before we lay down new laws, new positions. Before you have any issue with believing there is no way to control crowds to that amount… I can assure you, the leader of it all has his way of abilities.” 

     He listened as the man talked, keeping his face entirely set in his usual half bored and half dead inside expression. “ I wouldn’t know much about that. If people see me doing me work, I’ll get arrested... ”

     He would have to be careful- in fact, he should have been even more careful than he already was, because one thing he said caught Aizawa’s attention in the exact wrong way. He still kept his face neutral, however, even as he glanced over at Mr. Compress out of the corner of his eye.

     “ It can be difficult to tell the difference between facts and legends. I prefer to do my own research. As I also tend to stay away from villain groups, I haven’t looked into you all much yet. ” 

     He turned a corner. “ That’s an impressive list, though. You’re already aware that I take down heroes as well, and it is rather important to ensure the youth don’t get brainwashed into seeing any and all heroes as good. ... Tell me, what methods did you use for that? ”

     He didn’t blame the other for not knowing all his tenants. He never spoke about them, only demonstrated them through action. One thing he had never done... was to target a child. 

     Time to hear this explanation.

         As the hero killer’s eyes scan him over, his smirk stretches further across his face. He holds himself in a way so he could get a CLOSER look – Posing, even. Holding his arms out so he could check out his tattoos.

         “ I’ve got a proposition for ya! Wanna hear it? “

     ... Admittedly, the tattoos did get his attention, and since this man didn’t had a reputation for killing people on the first meeting, he let himself glance at the other’s arms. It was entirely illogical to mark oneself with symbols that identified him as a criminal, but... 

     He couldn’t help but be fascinated. Tattoos weren’t something that were commonly seen in Japan, and judging by what he knew about the Yakuza, this man had a very high pain tolerance. 

     “ Normally this would be where people try and recruit me. Knowing your reputation, that’s not what you’re talking about. Are you really about to offer what I think you’re about to offer? ”

hibari’s fingers brushed lightly on the top of the small kitten’s head. the animal mewled softly and nuzzled her nose against the pad of his thumb - a rare smile spread across his lips. the cloud guardian rarely go to take the time to see the cats in the cafe’, but when he could, he made time. 

he was pulled out of his moment with the cat from a deep voice, cobalt hue’s glanced upward as he saw what looked like a worker from the cafe, ❝ ━ ah.  ❞ he hummed, ❝ ━ i do not know her name.  ❞ 

his eyes were pulled back to the small cat who mewled at him, a sudden feel of shame filled the raven. how could he see this small animal each time and not even know what to call her? 

     The kitten got a slight smile from him as well- a rare, genuine expression. Cats were something that could always make him at least a little bit happier. 

     “ Her name is Sugar. They all have sweet based names. ” This particular kitten had mostly dark fur, with little white flecks all over. She looked like someone had spilled some sugar on a table. 

     His eyes trained back onto the man and his smile slipped back into the fake one. It was a subtle difference- the slight cheerful light left once he looked away from the small fuzzy creature. 

    “ She seems to like you, and cats are excellent judges of character. ”

“Reasonable,” he conceded, offering a playful shrug as he lets his arms fall to his sides. He understands the criteria for this meeting greatly. As soon as Aizawa started to walk, Compress caught up with ease, listening to the other’s comments. 

“On behalf of the league, I personally would like to reach out a hand towards you. Certainly, I can at least try to persuade you to think about this offer. Of course, I did plan this so that I would be manhunting you after all. That’s more of a hassle on my part here if that was the case.” 

“Your quirk is undeniably something we can use for the better future we want to make that would benefit us, you included if you join.”

     The League, huh? That helped him get an idea of who he was dealing with, at least. The League of villains was something that he had caught word of, though like most things he learned about, it had taken some work to differentiate the facts from the myths. And now... they wanted him.

     He kept his face smooth and expressionless, something that came naturally to him.

     “ The better future you plan to make, hm? Tell me- what kind of a future are you hoping to make? And just how are you going about making it? Right now you’ve only given me vague ideas. If you want to have any hope of this conversation going well, give me something concrete. ”

“Of course, of course,” he agrees to Aizawa’s terms with ease. “There is hardly an issue. I was expecting it when it comes to the likes of paranoia and concern sink within the crevices of your mind. I may say you have nothing to fear, but you will likely take it with a grain of salt- well, perhaps a mound of salt, and set it to your own terms to make you feel comfortable.” There was little hesitation or concern in his voice, proving that either he was a grand master of deception, or he was truthful about nothing being up. 

Atsuhiro gives a soft chuckle, giving a small bow with a hand sticking out to gesture that he would have to lead the way. “Now please, take us in the direction you wish for us to go. We have all night just to let you know the time frame.”

     Hmm. He’d agreed easily, as if he’d been anticipating the answer. It did nothing to affect his trust in the man. It didn’t increase- but he didn’t trust him any less either. “ I will take it with as much salt as I deem fit. ”

     He shoved his hands in his pockets and made a small gesture with his head. “ You’ll walk beside me so I can see you. If you make any sudden movements, I’ll consider it an attack. If you still want to follow, we’re going this way. ”

     And with that, he started to walk, keeping his pace slow enough that the other should be able to keep up easily. 

     “ So. What is it you want? Obviously you’ve been paying close attention if you managed to find me, and it sounds like you’ve got this whole thing planned ahead of time. ”

“Would you believe me I’m not here for trouble?” 

Atsuhiro stepped towards the man in this rather interesting predicament. “Your work was rather splendid. I have heard rumors of a rather special individual. One that seizes the ability for others to use their quirk. Finding you was no easy matter either! I just happen to stumble upon you in the middle of your work.” He was always quite a talkative individual. He tips his hat to him. “You may call me Mr. Compress. And I’m here for you.”

He holds up his hands though as if surrendering. 

“No need for hostility! Could I interest you in talking elsewhere that is more private? I have quite the proposition for you!”

     He squinted at the man suspiciously, but he didn’t yet make a move to throw his weapon or activate his quirk. This man had been following his work enough to be able to recognize it. Still- he should have been more careful. This kind of carelessness would get him caught if he kept it up.

     “ I would be willing to: so long as I get to pick the location. I don’t know who you are or what you want- you haven’t been very clear. If you really want to offer me something... I doubt that will be an issue, now would it? ”

     If the other said no, he would erase his quirk and bolt- he hadn’t done anything to indicate that he fit Aizawa’s criteria, so the man couldn’t just kill him. But... He also wasn’t stupid enough to walk straight into a trap when he could avoid it.

     Despite the fact that Aizawa’s night job tended to involved murder in the name of improving the world, he also had a day job. Murder didn’t exactly pay the bills, especially as he refused to take anything off the heroes he killed. That would discredit him quicker then anything else the media had thrown at him thus far.

     If he had to work, he would have to pick a job that logically worked in his face, which was why he worked at a cat cafe. Being around the creatures all day helped improve his mood and remind him of things that were worth fighting for and... well, few people would believe that the quiet guy who played with cats all day was a killer. 

     Thankfully, it was... quiet, today. There was really only one other person there. Unfortunately, that person was also hogging the attention of his favorite cat. Ah, well. He was supposed to work on his customer service anyway, so... He made his way over and offered a small fake smile

     “ I don’t know how often you come here- do you already know her name? She’s one of our friendliest cats. ”

     He looked down at the fallen hero as he freed his scarf from around her neck. She hadn’t gone down very quickly, but... He was tenacious, and she was exactly the kind of hero who panicked the moment they realized their precious quirk wasn’t working. He let out a slow breath and wrapped the scarf back around his own neck. It was specially made for him by a... rather unpicky support tech. Nobody ever suspected a scarf of being a weapon.

     He sighed and turned to walk away. They never seemed to learn- 

     He spun on his heel. He had heard something, some small misstep or another that had alerted him to the presence of someone else in the cramped ally. He lifted a hand to his scarf- the body was still present, there was no way this person hadn’t seen. Though... That meant they also hadn’t interfered. Hm.

     “ Who are you, and what are you after, here? ”
