As I told you not so long ago, I commissioned the owner and artist of the Nox Benedicta shop on Etsy, and asked her for a Sigyn art. Which she did! And Norns! It is a true masterpiece! Not ready...

I mean, we all knew this was coming, but GODS. I'm NOT ready.

More bad representation for Loki & Sigyn.

For people who don't know and have not read the Sandman comics, let's just say that their version of Loki is pure evil, and OF COURSE, another variant who's a total AH to Sigyn :'(

People will see this storyline and believe Loki was abusive towards his wife, and that our ship is ToXiC, and think Sigyn is "such a victim", or call her a "doormat"...

Thanks, I hate it.

I LOVE Neil Gaiman (one of my favourite writers), but this storyline and depiction of Loki & Sigyn? NOPE (even worse than Marvel's, that's saying ^^' At least, OldComics!Loki did not insult Sigyn while she was trying to catch the snake's venom... Sandman!Loki? Abusing the ONE person willing to help him ^^' An idiot ^^')

I SO hope they will change this. I'm PRAYING they will change this. But... yeah. I have a bad feeling about this :'(

We are going to need and support each other, Sigyn & Logyn fans... because you know the hate against Sigyn & our ship is going to be HUGE.

"How can you ship something so toxic" "She is so weak, unworthy of Loki, of course he hates her, my OC is better", ... You know this is what we're going to get after this season airs ^^'

I recommand lots of fanfics, fan arts, and BLOCKING all the haters.

Let's all take a huge breath, and remember that this is just an interpretation of the Norse myths, not the Nors myths themselves.

NorseMyth!Loki LOVES Sigyn, as she loves him. Their story in the sources is the symbol of actual true love, whether modern writers likes it or not.

And the kennings are clear : Sigyn is Loki's Joy, the delight of his hall, his treasure, and Loki is Sigyn's defender. They LOVE each other and protect each other.

It's just so sad and frustrating that so little people seem to see, accept and acknowledge that... And their blindness is not gonna get better after Sandman season 2... (unless, as I said, some miracle happens, and Mr Gaiman is super nice with us... PLEASE. I'm begging. I'll send chocolates, anything. Don't let Loki be abusive with Sigyn )

So, as some of you might know, I am writing a Norse mythology retelling book series, and I needed some inspiration and motivation XD

So I asked the very talented @te-al-latte for an art with Norse!Loki & Norse!Sigyn being cute and happy (BECAUSE WE NEED THAT <3)

(Yes, yes, I shall totally keep the Nicola Coughlan variant of Sigyn for my books. She is TOO cute, and we need more plus size reprensetation #noregrets) (and yes, of course, Loki looks like TH, but with red hair and a beard, because, you know, myth!loki <3 XD )
