Craig listened as Lola rather easily talked him right into the idea of coming over to her house instead, watching her shift her position on her bed in the limited view he had through what her front phone camera was offering him. He touched the point if his tongue against the inside of his lower lip and shook his head just a little at the vivid mental image she’d just effortlessly painted him of a bath for two, something they definitely hadn’t done together before, “Can be so fucking persuasive sometimes.” It came out sounding like equal parts acomplaint and a compliment, a lopsided smile of his own flashing back at her when he saw her looking pleased enough with herself to have a smirk on her face. “I’m really, really not trying to get killed by your dad though. You sure he’s not going to just… randomly come home early?” He laughed softly with a slight nervous edge in his voice, stepping into his shoes at the bottom of the staircase and moving over to grab his coat while still holding his phone up with one hand, making it obvious that he was practically out the door already now. “Oh yeah? You rushing me now?” He teased, one-handedly putting on his coat.and going for the car keys.

The fact that she was able to easily persuade him into things was part of the perks of them two being around each other constantly. Both the shower or bath were something the two hadn’t done before. A smirk plays across her mouth as he tells her that. “Yeah, I know. We could always do both. We can have a bath and then shower later tonight.” Lola tells him as she giggles softly. She rolls her eyes at that. But he did have a point considering her dad could be a scary guy if he didn’t know the person hanging out with his daughter. “Yeah, but he’s seen you at the restaurant and I think he likes you. But you shouldn’t worry. He’s not going to randomly come back tonight. He took all of his things with him when he left.” Lola explains. She could tell that he was moving downstairs to grab things. Lola knew Craig’s house like the back of her hand pretty much. Considering how often she was there all the time. “Uh huh I am and because I don’t want you to have a wreck on the way here, we should probably in this call.” Lola said. She needed to have time to straighten herself up before he got there anyway.

Craig couldn’t help but be relieved when what might’ve been mild annoyance at him seemed to melt away; he didn’t want to drive any distance between them just because he was so positive that he wasn’t fit to be anyone’s boyfriend in his current state, nor did he want to screw up the dynamic they had. But he understood it was only a matter of time now before things started to get messy, that both of them were getting just a little too attached and it was showing in different ways. “Because my house is empty. And I’m trying to get you into the shower with me, remember?” Craig reminded her in a soft but lusty tone, noticing even though they were only on Facetime when he managed to bring another obvious rush of color to her cheeks. But her smile told him that her complaint wasn’t genuine, and that maybe if she had been upset about him not wanting to go to her place instead, that could be easily appeased. “You never invite me over though.” He pointed out in the same teasing voice, “It’s always me inviting you over here, since Joey’s always at Sidney’s these days and we have it to ourselves.” He continued to hold his phone up so that she could see his face easily as he made his way downstairs. “I’ll see you soon, yeah?” He smiled back at her.

Sure, she was getting closer and closer to Craig more and more each day. Could you really blame the girl? The past few weeks had been that she and Craig got together constantly during those times. Rather it be for sex or whether it be just to hang out. Either way she was always excited to hang out with him, to see him specifically. “My house is empty too. My dad is at work and then he has this conference thing to go too so he won’t be back until tomorrow.” Lola explains as she turns over on her mattress so that she is on her stomach. He’s a bit over protective.” Lola said as she rolled her eyes. Though, her dad a reason to be, that being that he had been on edge ever since her mom left them. “Yeah, you better get here quick.”

She wasn’t sure how long it had been since he had actually called her babe, but even with the topic that they were discussing, the name he used on her still made her smile. Maybe she should have just brushed past what he had initially almost called them.
