Man, you don't even know how to properly say '3DS', you wouldn't know a broken system if it completely destroyed your hopes and dreams like I'm about to~
//alright, i couldn't resist, i'm doing an intro post too !! its kind of mushy oops...
i've met some SUPER amazing people through joining this group. on this exact blog five years ago i met a super cute boy, and long story short citta is the reason i've basically met my soulmate. so obviously i hold this group very close to my heart.
i also met a friend on here (COUGHCOUGH SHE KNOWS WHO SHE IS) who read some very NSFW roleplays between the Roxy Lalonde and Byakuya Togami who were here last year. and then we met in person and found out we'd met before. it's great meeting a new friend then finding out they read your porn. :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
but yeah. thats about it i guess. i'm so happy i decided to join again, and i'm going to be bringing in at least one more character in the future and i'm excited to rp with everyone again. my twitter is located here so come be friends with me!!!
And Mount Itoi will pulverize you But really, game night, what better way to enter the city than by sitting indoors and ignoring it all?

Ignorance is bliss.
( â„* : apprehension.
Indescribable.    There wasnât a single possibility in describing the sight before him accurately enough to do it justice. Horrors reflective of a destructive system caused billows of smoke to replace the white clouds in the sky, the stench of sewers and oil keeping the air thick with dirt. Distant sounds of metal clanging stirred his uneasiness, nervousness barely repressed as toxic thoughts began to seep through.
He needed to find shelter, as quickly as possible; be it a room, a garden, or otherwiseâ he needed freedom from the suffocating atmosphere.
âExcuse me,â From his teachings came the faux appearance of calm, his gentle demeanor drawing attention from a young blonde walking opposite his direction on the sidewalk ahead. âDo you happen to know the fastest way out of this area?â
It was absolutely disgusting. Just as vague memory had it, nothing had changed. It anything, the horrible, gross, infection that was sector 2 had only intensified in horribleness since her return. Which made sense...it had been a pretty long time. The blonde girl was still trying to orient herself with the horrible city itself, when her thoughts were scattered and nerves went on temporary alert as a stranger approaching her spoke.
And yep, by his words, it was easy to tell he was trying to find an escape to the hell the city had put them in.
"Aahh-...!!"
"There's....a train or something somewhere, but I can't remember!!"
The android stumbled over her words a bit, still trying to calm herself from the emotional slap in the face the situation had gifted her.
"There's gotta be a map around here somewhere, though! ...We could find it together!"

...Ohhhhh, no, no, no, no, no!!
It was impossible. Not even for a second could this be right in any universe at all. There had to be a mistake. She had to be dreaming. There is absolutely no way after all those years of being away from this horrible place, after being dragged away from her friends and family, not once, but twice!!--that she had been dragged here once again. Absolute denial. Absolute, complete, and inconceivable denial.
Rin sighed, a look of absolute despair painted across her face. This just kept getting worse and worse and worse with every passing second. Sector 2!! Of all places?! The blonde's bright eyes welled up with tears as she looked at the little piece of paper in her hands, stating her apartment like a death sentence. Of course, she had no memory of where the apartments were located. It'd been way too long to remember trivial things like that while she was off in her own world not being confined to a lab rat! She blinked hard and shook her head, deciding not to go chasing after this place of hers right now. One thing she DID completely forget to do, was check if her brother had been dragged into the same situation...
Stupid, stupid, stupid!! How could she forget that?? The android glanced around from side to side, scanning her options. Find a place to chc the list of residents herself, in a place she barely remembered at all, or ask a stranger... The latter seemed much more time efficient. Rin gathered her courage and walked over to the nearest kind looking person she could see.
"U-Uh!! Hey, excuse me--!!"
"I-I'm in need of some help...yeah! W-would you mind..?"

âOf course. Thatâs the beauty of a thing such as love.â Not that heâs ever really felt it to a significant degree, at least as far as he could recall. (Or was willing to admit.) Deep affection, yes, but perhaps not âloveâ the way theyâre describing it. âIt is a thing that takes time and tender, gentle care to develop.â
âThat is what I believe a coupleâa marriageâshould be founded on.â A traditional view that hardly needed to be stated, really, but it made him glad Rin was on the right track with her romantic ponderings.
âBut, perhaps weâre getting a little ahead of ourselves at the moment. Whoâs to say we wonât be fond of our spouses when we do meet?â
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Arranged marriage or not, there's still a chance we could like them."
Rin found it sort of hard to imagine her liking someone she was being forced into a marriage with, but at the same time, as much as she didn't want to admit it; there was a huge chance she could end up being at least friends with whoever it was. Falling in love with them though, that might be a bit of a stretch. Rin had only had a few adolescent crushes on a few people before, and she still had a lot to learn about relationships. The blond really was anxious to meet them, as assumptions to whether one was going to like someone or not should never be made before they actually met.
"I just hope they're at least easy to get along with, don't you?"

âSee, Iâm not gonna let yaâ get drunk for two reasons. One, youâre gonna look like a fuckinâ idiot. Two, if yaâ canât get used taâ thâ alcohol in your system, youâre gonna throw up, and I ainât about taâ let yaâ throw up in thâ middle of thâ fuckinâ lounge. Youâre just gonna be stuck with me until this cold passes, anyway. Bossâll end up kickinâ everyone out at closinâ time, and I told him Iâd crash here until the snowâs gone.âÂ
Actually, Meiko had sort of yelled at her boss for trying to make her walk home in the storm once the bar closed down. Sheâd managed to get the okay from him only after she promised to pay for any and all damage that might have happened during the makeshift stay. Besides, the couch in bossâs office was pretty fucking comfortable. And if all else failed, she could sleep sitting down and let the little blonde take the couch.
The bartenderâs mind was then focused on her friendâs last question. Letting a minor drink was probably the least of her concerns, in the given circumstances. Sheâd monitor the amount of alcohol Rin even had at any given time, just to make sure that she didnât get too drunk. Yeah, that was a good idea.Â
ââŠOkay, fuck it. If I get you some alcohol, youâd better keep quiet about it. Iâm doinâ this taâ help yaâ warm up, not so you can get drunk on me. Got that?â
"I'll keep quiet about it! And I won't get drunk, as much as I'm curious to know what that'd be like I guess we can leave it to another occasion."
"...And, if you say you're staying here till the snow's gone and I'm stuck with you, you mean I don't have to walk out in the cold, right? I'm okay with being stuck with you until it passes, not exactly a great way of spending the rest of the day, but it's a lot better being stuck with you than some complete stranger."
Rin had to let out a giggle at the fact Meiko was letting her drink, it was only on a rare occasion she was allowed to. This probably counted as one of those rare occasions, as it wasn't everyday they ended up taking shelter inside for who knows how long because the cold wasn't permitting anyone to wander around.
As for staying with Meiko with what would probably end up being overnight in the lounge, it really didn't make much of a difference to here. Yeah, sleeping in a chair or on a couch wasn't always the most comfortable place to sleep, especially when the room was freezing, and she'd much prefer to sleep in a bed with blankets, but that would mean walking back in the cold for quite a way. Better to not get picky about things with the current situation.
âȘtime to take cover!
âTch. Just promise youâll never willingly walk into a bar, or Iâm gonna have taâ smack yaâ harder, got it? If thereâs anythinâ in this world I never want taâ see, itâs you beinâ drunk, or eggplant boy in a speedo. Most disturbinâ thing I can think of. I mean, besides those fuckinâ Final Destination movies. That shitâs gonna fuck with your head if yaâ canât deal with blood nâ shit. Only ever got taâ see one of âem, but it was worth it. Damn, yaâ shouldâve seen thâ look on her faceâŠâ
âBut hey, you anâ me, both. Iâm pretty sure I was thâ first or second one of us that woke up in this little hellhole. Yaâ have no fuckinâ clue how relieved I get every time I run into someone else I know. I mean, there was Kaito once before, nâ Luka, too⊠Think I saw Teto a little while back, too⊠Couldaâ sworn Miku was around, but I ainât too sure Iâve seen her.â
âŠShit, this place was still getting colder. The snowstorm really wasnât the only thing that was pissing Meiko off. The thermostatâs failed control over the temperature inside the building was going to make everyone inside start getting more and more uncomfortable. Maybe they ought to break out more of the vodka. That stuff tended to make customers feel a lot warmer. Sheâd have to make a note to grab more from the storage room, later.
"Yeah, I promise! This is one of the last places I'd willingly walk into by myself! I can agree with you on eggplant boy in a speedo being...not something I even wanna picture, but not sure I can say the same about me being drunk. I'm not too sure what I'd be like drunk, but I'd definitely be up for giving it a try sometime..."
"Like I said, I haven't found any of the others yet, unfortunately...But I'm happy to know they're here! Now it's just a matter of finding them, I guess. I don't think that'll be happening 'till it warms up, though, and who knows when that'll be. Don't suppose you'd let me have a drink with the temperature continuously dropping in here, would you?"
Of course, that last bit was said in a joking way. Rin didn't actually have a lot of knowledge about alcohol, and only knew from what she heard that it made people feel warmer. In all honesty, if that was actually the effect it would have, the blond wouldn't have minded having some, with everything just getting colder and colder. Whether Meiko would actually agree to it, joking or not, was a debate in itself.
âȘtime to take cover!
Just as absentmindedly as sheâd placed her head on his chest, Gakupo softly began petting her hair. Taking care of his younger siblings had given him a few nurturing reflexes, and they both could certainly use the comfort right now.
âMm. Consensual or not, I doubt it would be an option to remain single under these circumstances.â Procreation this, procreation that and all. That was a little too much to hope for even if they asked nicely.
âI doubt anyone else your age has much of an idea as to who they would like to marry either. Forcing that big of a decision on you right at this moment would be ratherâŠheartless.â
"It would be! They can't expect me to even want to make that kind of decision now!"
"...I gotta say though, I do think being in a consensual relationship with everything happening wouldn't be so bad...one more person to turn to, right? I mean, that's what I think, anyway."
That might have just been Rin's dependent attitude towards people talking, but she was definitely speaking out of truthful opinion. Even just being close to the samurai like she was now made her feel a lot more comforted and better about everything that had gone down in the past couple days. If she wasn't old enough to make the decision or have the decision made for her about being married to someone, it's not like she didn't understand the simple fact of dating or loving someone.
âȘtime to take cover!
He chuckled at the sudden burst of enthusiasm, pulling her in even closer for a moment in an affectionate, one-armed sort of hug. Leave it to her to keep spirits high in this kind of situation.
âOf course. Iâm sure they canât force us into that sort of arrangement. The population still has free will, does it not?â
Thatâs right. Not all marriages could work out, especially between complete strangers. They wouldnât get children out of two people who hated each other, so there had to be some sort of system in place for people who desired different partners. Right?
They had to. It made the most sense. Maybe there was someone he could ask about it.
Rin thought over the possibilities of exactly how the whole marriage thing could work, resting her head against Gakupo's chest in an absent minded sort of way. Everyone has people did still have their rights which would mean they had the freedom to object to something like that. Unless they completely abandoned all that and started focusing entirely on the goal of procreation. But in modern day society, that just wouldn't seem civil at all.
"We'd have to, it's not like they've told us any different, everyone would just assume as much."
"...I do kind of doubt they'd let anyone go unmatched just because they didn't like their spouse, everyone probably still has to get married."
The unfortunate truth of it. If they wanted everyone to procreate so badly and were willing to make the agreement of separating two people, chances were most likely they'd force them into marrying someone else, even if they got to make the choice of who it was.
"And even if they let us chose ourselves who we got to marry, that'd be better and all, but I don't even know who I'd want to marry!"
Really though, a fourteen year old should not have to make a decision like that.
âȘtime to take cover!
Rin and Rin? That was amusingly coincidental, wasnât it? But amusing or no, it was clear his Rin fancied the idea of arranged marriage about as much as he did. And she was right. Even for procreation, the arrangement made very little sense, especially for the likes of them.
Gently, he placed an arm around her, adjusting the baggy sleeve of his jacket so it covered her more than the pullover and shorts. âThe same logic that isnât fixing the heat in a timely manner, I suppose. But youâre absolutely right.
It seems more like the setup of a science fiction song instead of a suitable reality, doesnât it?â
As soon as Gakupo placed his arm around her, she moved herself a bit closer to him. with all the bad and really unlikeable things that had happened to this point, it was important to remember one wasn't alone in it. The procreation bit of it was probably the only part that was understandable, but there were better ways to do it than arranged marriage; there had to be. Not that the procreation part sounded any better, but at least she wouldn't have to take part in that for a while due to her age.
"Heh, you're probably right about the heating."
"I definitely know one thing's for sure though, and that's that they can't make me marry someone I don't want to! I can't speak for everyone else, but it's not going to work that way with me!"
âȘtime to take cover!
Gakupo followed her lead, taking the seat next to her. Poor thing was barely covered, the temperature must be even worse for herâŠ
âŠHâm. Right to the point, as always. He couldnât say he blamed her, really. This was quite the situation they were in.
He shook his head, âI havenât met them yet, no. I only know their name: a miss Panty Anarchy.â An odd name he had to admit, but he wasnât going to toss around judgement when he hasnât seen hide nor hair of the woman. âI can only hope sheâs safe at home with the weather the way it is.â
Now that the topic had been comfortably broached, however, he couldnât keep his curiosity at bay.
âWere you paired with a spouse as well, Rin?â
The blond girl nodded in a sort of 'I see' way at hearing the name of Gakupo's apparent spouse. She certainly didn't know anybody of that name, as far as she could remember. It was kind of odd to talk about the topic in a way that seemed almost normal, as if it should have been an expected thing from the start. Sort of funny to think that before one particular day not too long ago the thought of being forced into a marriage had never crossed her mind once, having no reason for it to.
"Yeah, I haven't met them yet though. Someone by the name of Rin Okumura, apparently. I haven't seen them around or anything at all."
"They didn't pair us in an apartment, so we don't have to live together which is good, I guess..."
It was sort of amusing that the spouse she'd been given had the same first name as her. Sure it wasn't exactly an unpopular name, she knew that, but what were the chances? The place wasn't exactly lacking a lot of people. A sigh escaped her lips, with a cloud of frost becoming visible in the cold air as she did. At least the conversation was starting to take her mind off the cold.
"But it's not fair; nobody wants to get married to someone they don't even know. What made them think this would be a good idea?"
