Heh. I’d all but abandoned Tumblr anyway and with the news about censoring even female-presenting nipples I was thinking maybe it’ time to bow out. It’s not like what - or rather, who - compelled me to join in the first place is respected or relevant anymore, and a lot of other bloggers that kept me here have moved on or are about to. And then this little happy accident of successive posts feels like an omen.

It may take me a few days to take screenshots of some posts I’d like to keep. I’d better get on that before nothing’s even left.

My parents weren’t up for celebrating this year given my uncle’s passing, and neither was I. Well how’s this for a #FBF? While clearing out my desk, I found the offer letter that brought me here in the first place, 12 years and six months ago almost to the day. I’m leaving only to make a lateral jump to a new job, and everyone I work with in close proximity is going with me, but as I look at my empty corner it still feels monumental. It’s been a very pleasant 12.5 years, all things considered — one that gave me both the time and the resources to do more things than I can count that I’d once thought were beyond my means and possibilities.
