I just hope she is online and sees how much impact her music has. That this isn't just exciting for her but also for us. All the memories we made with those songs, music videos and concept through so many years. We supported her during the Taylor's Version Era but I hope she also knows it isn't just the excitement of something new and shiny that we can consume for us. It's all the memories, tears of sadness and joy, ups and downs that are part of her journey. A song from 2010? An album cover from 2014? These still feel exciting to me and I never stopped loving them. I am just so happy that they belong to the person who created them now. If you're not a swiftie it might be a weird thing to understand. They have never been deleted, they have always been there, wouldn't a shiny new version be better? No, those are memories, mine, Taylor's, OURS.

In light of this new album, some Swifties out there are actually trying to shame other Swifties for sounding the alarms and M*tty warning bells when all that was happening.

No good and true friend who has any heart and sense of decency is going to just stand idly by when a friend chooses to walk off a cliff and be like “wow, that behavior is so destructive - I hope you have the time of your life and enjoy yourself with that! See you at the bottom!”

Taylor may not have appreciated the concern Swifties showed at the time (indicated by some of these lyrics), but it was absolutely the right thing to do.

This is very true. I would add, on a similar note, it is probably the least “radio-friendly” album she’s put out to date. It’s brilliant, but it is a very different kind of an album compared to other artists and compared to her past works.
