I find it odd how much overlap there is between the "I love Ada so much that I don't want her to be with Leon and have her own story instead" crowd and the "Ada is an abusive monster who sexually assaulted Leon" crowd.

First of all, let's ditch the idea that being in a relationship with a man automatically takes away her independence and intrigue. Unfortunately it seems to work that way in real life, but this is fiction. Ada can love Leon, and she can have her own adventures and her own personality. Also, if you don't like Ada, that's completely fine. Performatively justifying why you despise Aeon without admitting you just don't like Ada is pretty sad. If you're going to pretend you like her, at the very least, don't call her a sexual predator in the same post.
