This started as a mostly Cats blog, now it's just a blog for whatever is goin on in my head at any moment. I use they/them pronouns, but some ppl in my life get to call me she/her, as a treat. In general tho, just use they/them for me :)

I have a sideblog for my art, @cinderdesigns.

I'm super neurodivergent and I fixate on different things constantly so if my interests seem to shift rapidly, that is why lol

I reblog a lot of leftist stuff on this blog, if you don't like political stuff idk what to tell you. If I ever reblog anything from someone problematic, (like bigot, proship/profic/pedo, etc) tell me right away plz.

I am very cautious about sharing anything mutual aid related. I will most likely delete any mutual aid/fundraising asks unless I know you.

I think it’s more important now than ever to start learning how to regulate and manage your emotions, especially if you are organising protests and other events. They want us scared and scattered, so it’s important to also take care of yourself so you can fight for your rights.

When we are frightened, the part of our brain responsible for planning and reasoning shuts down to make way for fight or flight. I honestly think this isn’t stressed enough and we need to start having more conversations about this so we can find ways to keep fighting for a brighter future without burning out.

Remember that it isn’t selfish to take time to rest. A good recharge means you’ll have a clearer head and more energy to organise.

On Saturday I said to my partner, as I have said for months, "A ten thousand dollar a year raise would solve so many of my problems."

As of this morning I was reluctantly looking for jobs because I love my job and don't want to leave it, but see: $10k raise problem solver.

As of noon today this was no longer an issue, because my boss called me with the news that I was getting a $10K merit raise.

I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. This is roughly $200 extra per paycheck. Enough to pay off debt faster, rebuild my savings, and spend a weekend a month in Milwaukee getting obscenely laid. The sex I'm going to have on $200 extra per paycheck. You can't even.

May all of you get the $10K raise your soul has yearned for. And whatever level of sex you can be satisfied with for $200.
