A little about me

I can speak three-ish languages; je peux parler trois langues; yo puedo hablar tres idiomas (I am still working on spanish :D)

I live in the states but I want to go to school in Belgium; j'habite en les états, mais je veux être étudiant en Belgiqué

Writing is just a hobby, when I graduate, I want to teach French; écrire est mais un passe-temps, quand je reçois ma diplômé, je veux enseigner le français

I did have a tumblr before this, but I didn't like where it was going so I started over! I hope this will keep me motivated to writing my current work-in-progress: Where the Dandelions Grow

What languages would young, British royalty and nobility be required to learn in the late 1800s, beyond English? French, Spanish, Latin, maybe German? Was it normal for them to know multiple languages?

French, English and German were the basics. Latin would be learned in some circles. Spanish would be less usual but could still be learned

WIP introduction: Where the Dandelions Grow

Life was great for the Orin family, as with the Strathclydes, they were both successful, respected, and known. One would think that with all of their similarities that they would be rather friendly towards each other, but the truth is, dear reader, they absolutely loathed each other.

However, when the small Island they lived on claimed independence, both families were chosen to govern. Can they put down their hate and coexist in this new system? Or will their attitudes drive them mad and bring the whole country to ruins?

Setting: 1900's Bornholm near Denmark
