There are no words
They abused her, drugged her, humiliated her, broke her spirit and her bones before kicking her out because she was no longer useful to them and spoke her mind one too many times.
She is one of the most talented and beautiful skaters to ever grace the ice with her presence. Her triple axel was magnificent, her combos were massive and her stage presence was out of this world. I hope whether she decides to retire or continue competing with her new coaching team, that she will be happy and look after her health above everything else!
I also hope that Eteri hasn't blacklisted her to the point of losing income with sponsors and skating shows and she can continue to perform for all of her fans whether that be in a competition or under a spotlight.
Perhaps one day she will be able to reveal all of the mistreatment and abuse that really happens behind closed doors at Sambo 70.

This has truly been one of my favourite competitions to watch and is what real skating should be about, watching an adult in her fifth senior season at the top of her game and only getting better❤️. What a marvelous season Kaori has had and I can't wait to see what she'll do next!
Leona really fought for her medal here with sheer determination, I hope she gets all the rest she needs now and I wish her a speedy recovery. A truly well deserved silver medal!
When Alysa started to grow and her technique had to be adjusted, many people thought she was done and had written her off. But she has proven everyone who doubted her wrong with her performance! She's only 16 and shouldn't have been put under so much pressure to peak at such a young age. Watching her skating improve as she gets older is the way it should be. This was a well deserved medal and a great season for her, I'm so happy for her🎉🎉
I'll take athletic, muscular adults skating clean with correct technique over malnourished, doped teenagers doing cheated jumps any day.

She has had a wonderful, highly decorated career and is truly one of the greatest skaters to ever compete. We'll miss you!
What a goddamn mess
Right after Valieva finished skating, we were quickly shown the room were the top 3 skaters wait and because of the disaster of what we just witnessed, I almost didn't notice the fact the camera was zoomed on only 2 chairs: Shcherbakova's and Sakamoto's. Later I realized we didn't see Trusova because she had already left. She had seen Shcherbakova's scores.
So we had:
Trusova — silver medalist — crying because she felt cheated by her coaches (and oh, doesn't that remind you of a certain situation in 2018 between Zagitova and Medvedeva?),
Valieva — 4th at the goddamn Olympics at 15 — crying because she suffered from the pressure (and oh doesn't that remind you of a certain Lipnitskaya in 2014?), missed, and immediately got accusations from her coach while she was still one foot on the ice,
and Shcherbakova, alone, unable to enjoy her gold medal because of the whole situation (and it's my guess there, but probably trying to ignore the harsh words that might have been thrown her way in the heat of the moment by her fellow skater)
Once again, to all the adults in the figure skating world: was it worth it?

Watching these women get absolutely robbed in the short program today broke my fucking heart💔
How does Wakaba score less with a clean triple axel than she did with a double in the team event (and ten points less than Valieva with a step out & Trusova with a fall)?
The inflated GOE and components that the Tutberidze girls get alongside the knowledge that they've been using Performance Enhancing Drugs is such blatant corruption and a slap in the face to every skater that they steal a medal from with their cheated scores.*
I doubt the free skate will be any better and the robbery will only continue. I only hope one day these skaters will get the justice they deserve.
*I know the Tutberidze girls aren't responsible for the scores they receive, that they are victims of abuse and trapped in a vicious cycle that will hang them out to dry when their bodies are too broken to land Ultra-C elements. But the outrage at their scores is justified and they shouldn't even be allowed to skate here because I don't doubt for a second that Valieva wasn't the only one doping.

I'm so sorry they put you through this, you should not have been skating in this event. None of this is your fault, you have been failed, abused and let down by the adults around you. They took away your Olympic experience and your chance to show the world how naturally talented you are and how you could've performed without the drugs and unnecessary quads with dangerous technique. They never gave you the proper chance to show the real Kamila, they only cared about cheated medals.
I'm proud that you have remained strong and not completely collapsed under all this pressure and scrutiny.
Please go home to Russia and hug your loved ones, seek proper mental health treatment, let your body heal and never let them near you again.
You cannot compare Medvedeva's silver-medal winning piece of art in 2018 with Trusova's 'jump drill' today. There was no effort whatsoever put into the performance, skating skills or artistry. And with the recent doping scandal, we can only guess what they gave Trusova to get her to land those five quads.

Kamila Valieva deserves better.
She should absolutely not be allowed to compete in the individual event and unfortunately I do believe that the gold medal should be stripped from the ROC team.
But none of this is her fault. She is a child. The adults around her have let her down immensely, Eteri Tutberidze and the rest of her coaching team have used and abused her and now they have thrown her to the wolves and destroyed her career before it's even begun.
The IOC, ISU and RusFed would be making a mockery of the sport and letting down all the athletes who don't use drugs to compete if they allow Kamila to skate in the Individual event.
None of this is Kamila's fault and she deserves better. I hope this is the beginning of the end for Sambo 70 and Tutberidze's abusive methods.
