kamila valieva doping truthers hate to see me comimg
ill never forget her 🩷
Kamila Valieva of Russia has been banned for four years retroactively starting on December 25, 2021. She has been disqualified from all events after.
The medals for the Team Event need to be decided by the IOC/ISU, as that is out of the scope of the CAS.
You cannot compare Medvedeva's silver-medal winning piece of art in 2018 with Trusova's 'jump drill' today. There was no effort whatsoever put into the performance, skating skills or artistry. And with the recent doping scandal, we can only guess what they gave Trusova to get her to land those five quads.
Olympic Committee Wins Gold Medal For Bullshit

Figure-skating commentators Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir couldn’t hide their relief after suspected doping cheat, Kamila Valieva of the Russian Olympic Committee, stunningly plummeted from gold-medal favorite to fourth place in the women’s free skate event on Thursday.
“Thank goodness for all the other medalists to have that moment,” Lipinski said, to which Weir quickly added, “And to have done it cleanly.”
...“I can’t imagine how tough this has been on Kamila and it makes me angry that the adults weren’t able to make better decisions and guide her and be there for her because she is the one now dealing with the consequences,” Lipinski said. “And she’s just 15 and that’s not fair. With that being said, she should not have been allowed to skate in this Olympic event.”
...“On a human level I can’t imagine going through what she has been through,” Weir said, “but that doesn’t change the fact that she should’ve been nowhere near this competition. Every athlete at this level knows and understands that if you test positive for a banned substance you will not compete.”
...Weir called it “heartbreaking” to watch Valieva’s emotion as she went behind a curtain but said the “people around her should’ve kept her from competing here.”
The Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled to let Valieva compete because a disqualification would’ve caused “irreparable harm” to a minor.
“The court that ruled to allow Kamila to skate in this competition was worried about the ramifications on her mental health of not competing,” Weir said. “And I wonder what they are thinking now as to what just happened to Kamila Valieva.” (Read more at link)
I agree, she shouldn't have skated. She was already going to have to live through this scandal abd that was bad enough. Now further embarrassment that people are hoping for because of the ridiculous medal ceremony ruling if she placed on the podium. Plus the Olympics have lost all credibility tbh.
What do you think of their decision Kamila Valiyeva being allowed to compete
Honestly, I think it's awful.
The Russians are already being punished by the IOC for doping (it's why they have to compete as the Russian Olympic Committee instead of as Russia). Clearly, that punishment did absolutely nothing to deter them. All this does is send a message that you can get away with using banned substances if you're a minor.
I think the argument that she should be allowed to compete for her mental health is weak. Either way she's going to suffer. By allowing her to compete, if she wins, her gold will be tarnished, her reputation forever dragged, and hate she's going to get for it are going to be just as detrimental.
I do feel sorry for her. She was failed by the adults around her, and they are the ones that really need to be punished and punished SEVERELY. No minor without an actual heart condition needs to be on heart medication.
However, allowing Valiyeva to compete is absolutely UNFAIR to the rest of the skaters who had to build their endurance naturally, trained hard to get where they are, and skate without the use of performance enhancing drugs.
This is going to get UGLY if the ISU doesn't sanction the Russians after the Olympics.
Not only is this a ridiculous story, let's not forget we're in a pandemic. Kids are the super spreader and she was supposedly with her grandfather, even a heart patient, vulnerable to the virus, and drinking from the same glass. 💀
