#LookingUp

Depression is an epidemic that seems to have a unrelenting force upon many people, myself included. One day, while drowning in my despair, I caught myself looking down at the ground before me. Constantly watching my every step while preoccupied in my head, I realized I had stopped doing one thing I loved; Looking Up at the things above me. And so, I vowed to start taking pictures of the things from the view of this 5-foot-4 individual; the beauty of the trees, the sky, even something as simple as the clouds. And thus, this #LookingUp was born. The project became something so silly and entertaining, but helped me battle my depression so thoroughly.... it's amazing how much the Beauty of this world can effect one's Psyche.

Saturday, I was able to go see @jeffdunham live and it was absolutely amazing!!! He even gave me amazing birthday gifts with "freebie" new shot and random adlibbed shot when random things happened that weren't supposed to! (I really hope Ahkmed's ribs are okay, now!) It was an amazing, magical afternoon filled with heat, expensive food and one amazing, brilliant comedian who has touched my life for a good ten years. It was, truly, something I never thought would happen. It's amazing, to me, how I almost missed out on this because I was so done last year. How, had my depression claimed me, I never would have known about the amazing new jokes I will adore for ever thanks to what I am convinced is Tweak working for Mr. Garrison. Fuck. Yes.
