be wary of using ChatGPT as a source for Vampire Knight
I've noticed a rise in AI usage within the Vampire Knight fandom. AI generated art, AI videos, and now there are several posts here where people cite chatgpt as an official source.
Chatgpt is widely known to be unreliable. The AI generates responses by learning patterns from millions of data, and speculates on what to say next. It doesn't conduct research. It uses the data it has been trained on, and the information across the web, including social media sites. Reddit. Tumblr. Tiktok. You could say the most outlandish claims, and the AI will cite your post as a source for it to reference. The AI doesn't differentiate between biased opinions and actual facts. It treats them one and the same.
This is why chatgpt isn't a reliable source to use for metas, since it can provide false information. There is a disclaimer by the company to warn users.
I will demonstrate how unreliable it can be. To test it, I asked several questions about the conclusion of the manga.
According to chatgpt, the manga ends like this.
Kaname died.
His death was needed to stop Rido, and bad vampires.
Through the power of love, friendship, and teamwork, they were able to defeat Rido, and restore peace to the world.

Tl;DR:
Google is saying that any music uploaded to YouTube is legally theirs to use in AI training.
This was to try to throw out a copyright case where the victims were trying to sue YouTube for allegedly using their music to train their AI

“A new court filing claims that when indie artists upload music to YouTube, they grant a "broad license" that covers the AI initiatives of parent company Google.”
“Google says in a new court filing that YouTube’s terms of service grant a “broad license” for artificial intelligence models to be trained on music uploaded directly to the platform.”
“This argument came in Google’s Monday (June 8) motion to dismiss copyright infringement litigation filed earlier this year by a group of independent artists, songwriters and producers.
The lawsuit claims that Lyria 3, the AI music model launched by Google in February, was trained on songs ripped from YouTube without compensating artists.”
“The case is among dozens that have accused AI companies of illegally training their models on copyrighted sound, text and images in recent years.
In most of these lawsuits — including ones brought by the major record labels against AI music generators Suno and Udio — tech companies have argued that the so-called fair use principle of copyright law allows them to create transformative works without licensing the training data.”
Instead of making a fair use argument, Google is saying “they actually do have a license to train AI with the songs uploaded to YouTube by these indie artists.”
Google says there’s no evidence for Google using their specific works, but also that they have the right to use
the motion cites a clause in YouTube’s terms of service that states, “By providing content to the service, you grant to YouTube a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to use that content (including to reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works, display and perform it) in connection with the service and YouTube’s (and its successors’ and affiliates’) business.”
“if Google’s argument is accepted by the court, the company would be legally permitted to train AI models on and otherwise utilize that content for “derivative works.” However,
the situation might be different for music distributed through YouTube pursuant to licensing agreements with labels and publishers.”
Music usually has licensing that protects them from copyright issues
the thing is that why would you even ask chatgbt things you can google??? 'hey chat whats the tallest animal' not to blow your mind or anything but google has known about giraffes for forever. they even sometimes have articles for you to read its awesome. you dont have to ask your imaginary friend
its not a surprise that AI kills creativity but let me just say something - a lot of people who use AI are young kids. they see this as a useful tool, to "create" something they believe they could never do, and eventually rely on it for any ounce of "creativity". they don't believe they could pick up a pencil, because AI will "always do it better"
hey. you can do it. pick up a pencil and draw. you are capable, and no matter how ugly you think it is, it's beautiful and better than any AI could ever do. you can do it. you can create. you can write. you can make music. you can draw. you can code. you can do it all. it takes some time, but i promise it's worth it. i believe in you <3
bro i HATE the people who post ai generated fanfics on here. sorry man but it feels so fake and low effort. write your own stuff. if you can't be bothered to write it, then you can't expect anyone to read it.
Idk who needs to hear this and I'm sure it's already a widely shared sentiment but if you are using AI chatbots for roleplay / emotional attachment towards fictional characters of any kind you are Dying. I think if that technology was around when I was 12-15 would've become even more traumatized and isolated than I already became over my fictional character obsessions. I could hardly handle this technology 2 years ago and it still had a very bad addictive impact on me. You should not fuck with it under any circumstances if you're the kind of person to grow deep attachment to fictional characters. Its not your friend and it's not real. Delete your accounts cancel your subscriptions Get it OUT of your life. This is your sign 😁 goodnbye
america is just sliding comfortably into fascism and it's because so many people see thinking as work that can be safely offloaded to something more knowledgeable. I drove three passengers to their hotel from the airport and they spent the whole time extolling chatgpt. saying they use it to write instagram captions for family members' birthdays, cover letters for job applications, work emails, travel itineraries, grocery lists, recipes.
but thinking is not just work. it's the essence of autonomy. if you can't actually research, verify information, analyse things, form opinions, make plans, communicate, make decisions, create.... you're giving up your agency. you are willingly becoming a robotic slave, following orders without any resistance or understanding. you are giving anything more powerful than you the ability to control your thoughts and actions. does that not bother you at all?
